Since most toplists for animated series on the web include Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies, I say it's fair game. The fact that they have been packaged into The Bugs Bunny Show (with it's various name changes) and that it was on for 40 years qualifies it as a series in my opinion. At the very least, it deserves to be listed at least as much as something like The Woody Woodpecker Show which also used theatrical shorts.
