Again, isn't that the point of the "internets" section? Am I missing something here?

Probably a few teeth from Super Macho Man.

I can buy Threequel and Cyberslacking, but Grrrl and the rest of them turn the MW dictonary into a white upper class and unfunny Urban Dictionary.

I always loved the supposed origin of the word "quiz". It just proves that the internet didn't change anything, it just made it easier for morons to influence everyday society. Back then you had to work for it.

#1 always bugged me. It was always kind of depressing that many years into the future, in battle against the Bugs, we have interplanetary travel and portable nukes, and we're still sending in the grunts with the machine guns.

Actual machine guns.

deus ex machina kind of annoyed me, no matter what the genre. It seems more like a sad excuse to move the plot, all the writers have to do is think. Then again, it does in fact move the plot along to better segments so, it one of those 'damn if you do, damn if you don't' things.

So true.

LOL, so so true. Memes are the equivalent of little apocalypses, slowly destroying humanity like acid rain on Michelangelo's David.

And if that's not bad enough, apparently the CIA indirectly invented Hippies:

The tollbooth commentary was the best part of that article.

God, I have to admit I came across that awhile ago and only skimmed it; it didn't really realize what he was doing with the article and just moved on to something else. I took the time to *actually* read it this time, though, and almost died laughing. God he's good. My favorite is the repeats in the third book. So not only does she just write only random crap, this woman can't think of enough random crap to avoid repeating herself multiple times!

http://www.cracked.com/article_17522_6-new-personality-disorders-caused-by-internet.html

I can't help but feel many of us suffer from one of these. I know i have OCD tendencies and sometimes i react to stupid stuff online (but not grammar). That last one makes sense and is a key reason why younger children should not be on the internet, well as much as most of us anyway.

The really question is, "Is the Internet killing Empathy?"

I thought I posted that one...

This forum has examples of all six of those. Sometimes more than one.

I wouldn't be shocked to find out someone had all six.
