I found this article today and I just remembered Syd making a list of the worst Christmas songs himself. As you may have noticed, both articles are about what Spinner and Syd respectively thought were the worst Christmas songs ever. However, only two of the songs are on both lists: Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" and Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?"

On a side, I moderately like "Wonderful Christmastime"; it kind of makes me think about old 80s cartoons during Christmas.

Well they both hate Band-Aid as much as the other, although Spinner's seemed to have more current-gen songs than Syds. The "dogs barking Jingle Bells" song really annoys the hell out of me though, I was surprised to not see it on there.

Yeah, I really don't like Band Aid's song. It's kind of annoying.

And yeah, the barking dogs are also equally annoying, but it must have been pretty impressive at the time to get some dogs to bark like that.

That picture of Madonna makes her look like a mid forties single mom with a smoking problem. And "wonderful christmastime" is my favorite christmas song! Springsteen's christmas song isnt very bad.

Do they know its christmas should be exempt from these ratings simply because of the cause behind it.

Well, I'm glad that I'm not alone on liking "Wonderful Christmastime". I think it sounds really cool with those synthesizers; they make it sound like a song you'd hear in an 80s cartoon.

My favorite is "I Hate Fucking Christmas" by The Rugburns.

I'm not really into Christmas music. At all. In fact, if I made this list, every Christmas song would be on it, except for Weird Al's "Cristmas At Ground Zero" & "The Night Santa Went Crazy."

Not only that, but it wasn't even ever meant to be released. It was performed live and became one of the most highly bootlegged Springsteen concerts ever. To make it more accessible to the fans that wanted it, the band released it as a single.

What about ICP, Santa Clause is a Fat Bitch. Maybe the worst Christmas song ever conceptualized.
