Is it just me, or did this movie rip-off the plot of Mortal Kombat: Deception?

Deception was a game, not a movie.

This flick looks boring. My friend wants to see it, but I told that I refuse to pay money to watch it because I didn't like the second Mummy movie (never saw the first).

The first was surprisingly good. They went downhill fast. Though, the wrestling mark in me still really likes The Scorpion King.

Something about Brendan Frasier grates on my nerves, therefore I will not be seeing this movie.

This movie was a good B-movie. It was fun to watch if you didnt connect anything to the movie. I enjoyed it. However, there was no mummy in the whole movie.

I give it 2.5 stars. That might be a bit gracious.

The only tolerable Brendan Frasier movie is Monkeybone.

I would say Blast from the Past, that was actually a pretty decent movie.

I hated the Mummy series though, nothing appealing longterm about it

I liked the first two Mummy movies. The first was much better than the second though.

I haven't heard anything about this new one other than it is a movie.

Saw it yesterday. Already forgot about most of it. Apparently they're already planning to make a fourth one set in South America despite the poor box office results. The whole Mummy franchise is obviously aimed at people with extremely short memory and attent-- oooh, squirrels.

Spoiler alert, but by the sound of everyone's post, no one might give a shit

I finally saw it. It was decent but the were too many dry moments to call it bad ass: Such as Frasier's character and his wifes constant romantic moments. I didn't care for the actress change of the wife either, it was distractive even when i havent see a mummy movie in years.

I like the first two mummie movies because Imotep was a badass villain, but Jet Li's villain is just an asshole who is too overpowered. He can control (supposedly) 5 elements: metal, wind, fire, ice, and wood (even though he never used wood). I'm all for elemental villains but if your too lazy and leave out water, earth and thunder, then your villain sucks. Plus, i wouldn't really call him a mummie, more like a walking corpse in a statue.

The back story in the beginning was too long, the Williams guy betraying them was cliche (although i liked how he got owned) and the brother's comic relief was mediocre when in the last two movies it was actually funny. I wanted to laugh, but i had to force a chuckle.

There are two things that save this movie:

1) The special effects where awesome, but like video games, graphics don't make the movie.

2) Isabella Leong Very Happy

But i think i know why this movie failed in my eyes: it wasn't the Dark Knight.

Seriously, if you haven't seen the Dark Knight then you should and if you have and want to see the Mummy 3, don't, just go see Dark Knight again.

Oh and i almost forgot, i thought it was very ironic that a movie set in china comes out while the Olympics are in china.

Those five elements are the five classic Chinese elements... sort of, it is water instead of ice. Still, including thunder and replacing wood with earth would wreck what he was suppost to represent.

But yeah, he was not a mummy... at all.
