Well, I saw it. It destroyed my brain and killed me to death. you can check my review at www.sans777.wordpress.com
Do it. This movie is seriously effing with my ability to focus on anything else.
Oh, and good to be back. I haven't been on here in forever, and never really did much when I first got here.

I remember talking to my fiance on the phone when it was over and I'd had time to let the hyperbole get out of my system. I still stand by the statement that it's my favorite movie... at least right now. Thanks for checking it out!

Very nice review (and spoiler free too if anybody wonders). I've been waiting for this movie ever since I walked out of the theatre after watching Batman Begins. I really liked it, but I was sure the next one would be even better, because 1.) the origin story was now told and the characters were introduced, so the sequel could really start to give those characters something to do 2.) the whole movie would play in Gotham City and give us a good look at it 3.) it would have a major villain with The Joker. From your review it seems all of that came true. I'm excited.

Yep, it's great. And the Joker is terrific. Don't forget Dent though. Two-Face is my favorite villain.

Do I need to see Batman Begins before I see this movie? I dont want that movie to make me feel that even though I like the first Tim Burton Batman the most, that these movies are going to be better.

Wait... What's your concern?
Um, I think if you haven't seen Batman Begins, you need to get on that anyway. I will say that after seeing this one, it made me realize that Begins is almost only a prologue and this is the movie they REALLY wanted to make.
PS. I didn't want it to sound like I was hating on Batman 89 or being a snark, I just wasn't sure what your question was.

Hehe, Yeah, I kinda hate me too.
The same friend who got me into the trade screening offered me the chance to see it again Tuesday, but I told him I can't skip work every week to see Dark Knight... Much as I think I should get to.

What I am trying to say, as much as it is probably bullshit, is that I like the Tim Burton Batman Films so much that I dont want BB or DK to destroy my opinions of those two movies.
What I really should have said is "I should just really STFU and watch them"

Does anybody have tickets to go see the Midnight showing tonight?
I would if I didn't have to work. So, I'm taking my wife tomorrow.

Well, I saw the midnight showing and....
You will go goo goo ga ga.
I was entertained, but I thought It was WAY too heavy. Very imaginative, very entertaining, good fights, but the whole "Batman" as hero or villain BS was way too prevalent. But you will all like it extremely. I liked it much, but the weight of the movie brought it down from "goo goo" levels.
I give it 3.5 stars now, but I probably wont see it again for a while.

Holy zen, that was one amazing movie. I loved how they worked in Two-Face and the Joker in the same movie, and pulled it off. SPOLIERS BELOW!!
Two best parts of the movie:
1) The pencil trick.
2) Leg-shattering.
Just an amazing film, and I'll see it again later.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

Goddamn. I've seen it twice already (10:45 PM Thursday night, 5:15 PM this evening), am looking to go again tomorrow, and have six reserved seats for an IMAX showing Sunday at 4.
I love this movie.

This movie kicked my ass. Hard. I can't believe how good it is.
Also, I was tickled to see John "King Reptillor" Turk in the early scene in the parking garage.

Yea I just got back from seeing this. One of the few movies that actually lives up to the hype. It's as good as everyone in this thread has stated. I wish I could have seen it in imax but that shit was sold out a week in advance here.

Don't forget the the Joker's "second course" with the hospital and the sheer pllaning and timing on his part during the finishing parts of the bank robbery.
Am I the only one who felt like the Joker outshone Batman?

HOLY ABSOLUTELY MIND-BLOWING FILM EXPERIENCE BATMAN!!!
That was brilliant. By far the best Batman movie ever.
I was amazed by the Joker. no film character has ever affected me in such a profound way. I was surprisingly amazed by Batman, particularly during the interrogation scene.
Just amazing.
