Anybody else really LOVE this movie? I saw it when I was real young, but since then I've bought the DVD and think of quotes from it almost on auto-pilot if the situation calls for it.

One of the last great original movies for utopian society in the future.

Be well.

Who doesn't love that movie!? I've must have made fifty references to it on these boards already. Including a successful campaign:

Agreed. Love it.

We've got a Taco Bell in town that looks so fancy I always think it's from that movie.

Having just finished Brave New World (my new favorite book), I just realized that Sandra Bullock's character is named after Lenina (the main female character in the book) and Huxley (the author's last name).
In retrospect, not terribly subtle.

Even so, that movie kicked ass. Would anyone like to accompany me to Taco Bell?

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

Damn you, Darkmaze. Stole my Taco Bell thunder by one minute.

Great movie. Probably Wesley Snipes' best villain role of all time. It looks like he had a lot of fun doing that film. Also, the "3 seashells" joke is completely random yet hilarious.

Doesn't Wesley Snipes' character even say something like "This is a brave new world!"?

I've only seen the movie once, probably like a decade ago. But holy fuck I still think about it. It truly is an incredible piece of cinema.

Fact. But also if you loved Simon Phoenix, check out "Chaos" where he basically plays the same character again. Plus, the film has Jason Statham. Wink

Great movie. And also one I should re-mention always has me craving to watch Judge Dredd (and vice-versa) afterwards.

Fun Fact: Judge Dredd was filmed to be PG-13, but the MPAA gave it an R for violence. Because of time they couldn't reedit.

I've always thought it should've been PG-13. I bet today it'd get the rerating today. In any case, all boys over 6 need to watch both Demolition Man and Judge Dredd. They might be more harshly rated, but I still feel children would love them and would not be prone to imitate bad habits exhibited in either film.

Also, Stallone's character's name, John Spartan, is an alteration of the character name John Savage from the book.

Love this movie.

2 favorite quotes

Simon Phoenix "How much do you weigh?"

and

Huxley "We're going to blow those guys!"

Spartan"Away, Huxley, we're going to blow those guys, AWAY!"

Great Movie. If my wife is upstairs and out of TP sometimes she starts cursing, and then asking me where the tickets for her violations are.

Demolition Man made me a huge fan of Sandra Bullock when I was young. She was so sexy inthat movie, and she still really is.

Spartan: "I'm impressed. Where'd you learn to do that Huxley?"
Huxley: "I watch a lot of Jackie Chan movies."

Movie gets a huge thumbs up from me.

It was actually on last night, though I have no idea what station. Funny how a DVR will make you completely avoid caring about networks and commercials.

ok... some guy with a gun here says that I can't say anything else. He said that everything I love will be destroyed if any more is revealed. I'm gonna just trust that he isn't lying.

He wants me to type something else...

He said, "Syd, if you reveal what was in the case in Pulp Fiction he will be visiting you".

What the fuck.. Syd you have known?
