It sucks that New Amsterdam ended on a low note, but he seemed to forget that he had to marry "the one" to become mortal, not just have sex with her.

I have not heard of a single one of those shows. Could be why they were canceled.,

Ummm.... I've heard of a few of these! lol My mom used to watch Las Vegas, she seemed to like it well enough. Heard of New Amsterdam, I was thinking of downloading a few episodes to see what it was like.
Hmm. Shark was alright, why was it cancelled?

Wait since when were some of these canceled, my folks were just watching new shows of them recently (the bolded). Grant it, they do record stuff frequently. I can see some of those being canncelled but others still had to adjust and I know Vegas was on for a while now.
And yet . . . American Idol is STILL on the air . . . our society is degrading, isn't it?

I'll miss Bionic Woman. I thought that given enough time to find it's stride, it could have become a really good show.
I'll also miss the sister, because she was super hot.

Shark was righteous, but most of these others were so hyped that I knew from the get-go that they would suck eggs, but I gave them all a chance. Guess the majority of tv watchers agreed with the sucking eggs thing.

Yeah and even James Woods couldn't save it from cancellation, what does that tell you?

God what a terrible premise, *deep movie annoucer guy voice* He's a300 year old cop who uses his lifetimes of experience and wisdom gained to solve modern day mysteries, while he searchs for a true love to nail so he can become mortal. Plus his son is an old fat black man.

It tells me that the dickweeds in this country would rather watch fat people lose weight on shit like the Biggest Loser and watch a bunch of dumbasses fight over the love of a nasty bitch that couldn't even win a similar show on I Love New York.
People like to complain about American Idol. AI isn't even that good, but it is still amazing when compared to some of the crap people are watching instead of shows like Shark or Jericho.
Do you know how close shows like Cheers came to being cancelled? One of the best sitcoms ever. In these times, it wouldn't have been given the chance.

Cheers was awesome. So was Frasier. I'm a huge mark for both Fred Willard and Kelsey Grammer, so I was really sad that Back To You got cancelled. Maybe it wasn't the greatest show ever, but FOX won't find anything better to replace it.

I thought it was pretty funny. The first episode where Patricia Heaton had to speak at that guy's funeral was funny as hell. I read a rumor that they were pitching the show to CBS as a mid season replacement. I read it on IMDB so I don't know how credible it is. But I hope its true and gets picked up.

Cheers was great, but it was winding down. Would you rather it had become total shit and then canceled? People would have bitched for years that it should have been taken off the air before it got bad. Go out on top!

I totally agree with that. But it was close to being cancelled during the first couple of seasons. In today's market if something is endangered, it is usually doomed. Look at Traveler. Some people liked it, some didn't. But it didn't even get to finish its season. Jericho would have been cancelled long before it actually was, but viewers bombarded the company with requests to keep it on the air.
The only reason sitcoms are plentiful are because of the amount of stations and they are great for reruns. Thank God they didn't practice today's tv business practices back when there were only a handful of stations. We would have missed out on a lot.

I thought so too. Do you honestly think it got a fair shake? Even if the ratings were low, they should have let it play out. Now the people who watched it are all left scratching their heads.
