Okay,

Everyone has that one song or few songs that they love that they just dont want their friends to know they love, so air it.

Whose Crying Now - Journey

The Way It Is - Bruce Hornsby and the Range.

There.

No way the Nelly Furtado version of Maneater is better than the Hall and Oates one.

Oh, shit. Please dont take my lunch money! haha.

I think that's the main component to guys' guilty pleasure songs: the subsequent questioning of their masculinity.

I happen to be a fan of many a hard rock and metal band, but I got a soft spot for most 80s and 90s power ballads, except 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn', 'Is This Love?', 'Headed For A Heartbreak' (Winger fucking SUCKS), and 'More Than Words'.

"Girlfriend" but only because I get hard every time that singer shouts out "I'm the mother fucking princess!" Other than that I actually hate it, but it gets stuck in my head a lot. Embarrassed

Doesn't this thread already exist? Have the forums been active that long?

It's like that episode of Sex and the City where Samantha has sex with that one guy and realizes after that she slept with him before, making her think she's slept with every guy in Manhattan. Have we discussed every topic?

Or this could be nothing like that at all, and I've just admitted to watching Sex and the City.

Val buddy, this is a musical guilty pleasure thread.

Speaking of Sex and the City though, a local radio station had the world premiere of the new single by Fergie for the movie's soundtrack. That should've been the only time they played that song ever.

Yes, we have discussed this before, but we tend to forget such threads exist.

You also super fail for making a Sex & The City reference.

karma is another good one from that same album. fallin up is not bad either. those are the only bep songs that are worth a damn. It's funny cause if you listen to those tracks and then listen to what they put out now you'd think they were 2 different groups.

I hate Nirvana, that's like a guilty displeasure.

I think Kurt Cobain was a whiny little bitch.

"Boo hoo, I'm getting really popular and stupid rich and I'm almost 28, I should end it all boo hoo."

Sad
I really like nirvana songs. Even though he ended prematurely the music does indeed rock. And ive read alot of his interviews. He doesnt whine he just states he doesnt like attention. I mean you wanna talk about throwing fits and whining well Axl does have a long history...

The funny thing is Kurt and Axl had very similar lives and personalities but they hated each other. And Axl didn't even start it. Axl had offered Nirvana the opening slot on the GN'R/Metallics tour back before Nirvana got big and Kurt told him to fuck off, thus starting their feud. Kurt criticisms of Axl were pretty much just repeated claims that Axl was a hick which is rather disappointing considering Kurt's constant flirtations with feigned intellectualism. Meanwhile Axk had some great anti-Kurt rants during the UYI era.

A lot of people love Nirvana, and I get it, but I just can't stand em. It's not like I'm hardcore metalhead and blame them for killing metal, because metal killed itself by that point.

I just hate Nirvana lol.

no, market trends killed metal, and only in America and America Lite. In real countries like Japan, Norway, Finland, Brazil, Germany, and England, metal never died. For a full list of countries that still listen to metal, look at a Manowar tour itinerary.

I always thought it started at that mtv awards show. at the end of the song you can see dave grohl waving at axl and yelling at him. or something.
