I believe we've established the hatred of "Smallville" on these forums already, but I feel the need to point out the "Justice League" episode will air tonight. It reunites Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, Green Arrow, and Clark together to bring down Lex's growing army of mutants. Might be worth checking out.
And, no, Batman and Wonder Woman aren't in it. Martian Manhunter has been on the show before, but will not appear in this episode. He returns next week.

I feel the need to pull a JEW here, for brevity's sake.
Fuck Smallville.

I think I might do a forum article about tonight's episode versus the failed 1997 JLA live action pilot.
VS.
Whoever wins, I lose.

I had forgotten that I wrote that about Smallville. One of my crowning achievements, and it was almost as long as Jeebus' last article.

While I know how much this forum loves "Smallville" (give me a break, "Heroes" is off the air and aside from "Lost" there's not a whole lot of television worth talking about), I can't help but love how much it's become "Superman: The Series" this season. Sure, Steven S. DeKnight left, but dare I say the women left in charge of the show have actually improved it from last season? Despite how horribly sexist that sounds, it's true. The episodes that were written and directed by women this season have been the best.
The show's also looking very exciting for a Superman/DC fan now that it's coming back for six episodes.
First, we have not only Brainiac's return, but Brainiac teamed up with Bizarro!
Then Black Canary will make a pretty striking appearance.
Look at that! That's pretty much BC's costume. Not to mention that this should be a more accurate live screen interpretation compared to the previous "Birds of Prey" version.
Plus, Green Arrow's back.
And, dare I predict, that the season's cliffhanger could be Supergirl's turn to the dark side by Lex?
The comic's done that a couple of times, it'd be great to see that story in live action form.
And for the fans there's Marc McClure making an appearance and Pete Ross is returning. Excellent...
... And one more Spike picture for good measure.

As the only other Smallville fan i have to say these episodes are pretty good. Better than the Freak of the Week formats used to jump start previous seasons.

Hey now there are three of us! I sadly have all the seasons on dvd and I enjoy the hella shit out of the show. Not having cable as of yet with the move has made my yearly tradition fufilled. Every year I move and miss an episode. I hate skipping an episode so now I can't watch it til it comes out on DVD. So come november i'll be caught back up, so no spoilers either of you. My buddy told me Pete came back tonight but now he has powers I hope to god he is lying to me. And yea that freak of the week stuff got really old...

I haven't seen last night's episode yet, but it's true, but they aren't permanent. Nor is his appearance.
BTW, next season's cast is becoming more finalized:
*****SPOILERS DOUCHE*****
We got:
Clark
Lois
Jimmy
Kara
Chloe (unsigned but pretty positive she'll be back)
And NO LANA!!! (YAY!) (and no-to-some Lex )
That's Superman: The Series. All we really need is Clark, Jimmy, and Lois anyway. Let's do this!!!

Even though Lex is becoming the ultimate asshole he is destined to become, I'm gonna miss the prick... , it won't be the same for awhile.

You think Mike got sick off havingto keep his head shaved? Maybe thats why he's no longer on the show. He had hair in Kicking it old school and was an incredibly creepy gay man with hair in some other movie. Maybe he wants to sprout out...can't blame him he's got talent.
