Apparently someone thinks giving Cleveland his own show is a good idea.

"Family Guy's" Cleveland Brown might be getting his own show.
Fox and 20th Century Fox TV are developing a spinoff from its hit animated series centered on Peter Griffin's bathtub-accident-prone neighbor, sources said.
The project, tentatively titled "Cleveland," is being written by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry -- who voices Cleveland and serves as writer-producer on the series -- and "The Simpsons" alum Rich Appel, executive producer/showrunner on MacFarlane's other animated comedy for Fox, "American Dad."

Why Cleveland? I dont see this going anywhere. If they want to do a spinoff why not do one around Stewie. It would make more sence I think.

It wouldn't work with Stewie. Stewie is one of the main characters in Family Guy and thus gets plenty of attention. It has to be a supporting character in order for the show not to just be a Family Guy clone. Still, I would have guessed Quagmire to get a spin off before Cleveland, as he seems to have a more interesting life and job.

How many fucking shows does Seth McFarlane need? I feel like two is already too much for him to handle. American Dad is basically Family Guy Lite, and Family Guy's writing has suffered a little bit too since the launch of American Dad. A third animated show threatens to run the McFarlane empire into the ground.
They need to bring back his live action show, The Winner.

McFarlane is not the show runner of "American Dad". He's only the runner for "Family Guy". I don't think the crap of "American Dad" should be reaped on him as another guy is really running show. Granted under McFarlane's supervision.

Well, Family Guy quality has dropped imo so another cartoon in the McFarlane franchise would be unnecessary.
