Since the card for the Royal Rumble looks great this year, I was wondering if anyone had any predictions.

I personally think that The Undertaker is going to get his second rumble win this year, setting up a feud between him and Edge, who I think will be beating Rey to retain his heavyweight title. Also, I would strongly support a double count-out or DQ in the JBL vs. Jericho match.

These are my predictions, but not my hopes:

Orton over Hardy. (Perhaps by DQ)

Edge over Rey. (Clean)

HHH wins rumble. (With no Cena, HHH is going to be their Main Eventer at WM.)

Jericho over JBL. (If Jerchio doesn't win, he'll look like crap after the beating he took from JBL, as well as the remarks about Jericho's son.)

Flair over MVP (most likely with a cheating move)

Wrestlemania will be HHH vs Orton, and Taker vs Edge (Each putting thier undefeated streaks on the line.)

Yeah, HHH hasn't won the title in forever. I think he's definitely gonna make Stephy and Vince have him go over at the Rumble and Wrestlemania.

That, or they've been lying to us about Cena's condition and Cena will show up at Wrestlemania and screw HHH out of the title, starting a new HHH/Cena feud and re-establishing Heel Cena, who was 200 times more entertaining than Face Cena.

Yeah but thats not saying much since Cena isn't entertaining in the first place.
I'd like to see The Rock win. If only.

The winner will be surprise entrant #30: Chris Benoit. We'll then find out that the whole murder-suicide thing was just a work.

*sigh*

If only.

Flair over MVP via cheating, then Vince puts him in the Royal Rumble and he has to win that too. He goes the distance and wins, then has the title shot for WM24... which he will win, then retire as the champ. That way no one else can ever be the mean, because they can't beat the man. Then he elbowdrops his jacket and struts on home.

Now that CM Punk has been added to the rumble, I wouldn't be surprised if he won

This royal rumble sucked. Cena cannot carry a title. When they push him he gets booed all over the place. Even when the guy is a face. Just a really weak royal rumble.

The thing with Cena is you either hate him, or you love him. That being said he shouldn't have won the rumble. The only worse option would have been Hornswoggle.

Yeah, this wasn't the greatest rumble. The rumble match itself was a weak match, but the Flair Vs MVP and the JBL vs Chris Jericho matches weren't bad. Hopefully Wrestlemania will be better.

As a kid, the Royal Rumble was always my favorite. Even now that I don't keep up with wrestling on a regular basis, I'm always still tempted just to watch the Rumble, but I don't cuz I know it'll suck. Once again, it looks like I was justified in not watching.

If they regularly did team elimination matches for the Survivor Series I would be tempted to watch that too each year, but it's pointless, as the WWE has become.

Whats to love? He cuts weak promos and hes still the same one dimensional rapper character sans rap. The guy wrestles extremely stiff to the point where they had to dumb down his finishing moves. He has zero personality and his whole gimmick is one based off the culture around him. OOOO things that spin! Ok that fad died down now what? And i don't hate John Cena. I said Cena cannot carry a major title yet. I sorta enjoyed all his battle raps with Angle Big Show and Rikishi. I thought they were pretty funny. But they pushed him way too fast before his skills developed at all. Also he had a pretty decent feud with Lesnar awhile back that the wwe fucked up as well. It just seemed that the WWE pushed him with the ol' use your finisher on a bigger opponent= Superstar.

Some people like him, I don't know why but they do. WO and a lot their fans seem to enjoy him. I am pretty sure a great deal of Cena's fan base has never been to a live wrestling show, which might be the reason he is pushed even though he gets boos all the time. That, and he has a lot of merchandise.

I've been to a couple of shows with Cena on the card, and the only people booing him are smark dicks who can't enjoy a wrestling show. I don't care for Cena since his initial face turn, but that just gives me more incentive to root for whoever he's fighting. I don't like so much that before this injury, he was basically being booked as god, but it's not like Hogan/Austin/Rock weren't all "overcome the odds" kind of guys who always won and had tired-ass catchphrases too, you know. Popular =\= good.

And you're dead on about the merchandise. The last show I went to was sold out of Cena stuff before the show even started, it was nuts.

It seems like hes winning so soon and so often. The last WWE event i was at was a RAW when Cea was on Smackdown so i have not seen him live. But i was sick of him on tv. The guy was forced onto the scene without a real nemesis. Triple H Rock and Austin had each other and how many WM did it take for someone like Rock to beat Austin. It just feels like they pushed him without substance to back it up.

That's partially due to no one else coming up at that time to kind of mature alongside him.

Off the top of my head i can think of Orton and Lesnar debuting in a similar time frame.
Lesnar was pushed as an unstoppable beast and Orton was in Evolution on RAW. I just remember WWE pulling some great gimmicks before they were allowed to get over while pushing ones that were heavily stupid. Example Pirate Paul Birchill being pulled and that weird Necro Kane and Triple H thing. I definitely agree that they didn't utilize Cena properly.
