What's their appeal? Music critics can't seem to suck their dicks hard enough, but they bore the fuck out of me. The only song they ever did that I liked was "Feelgood Hit of the Summer"/

Dave Grohl drummed for them a bit, which is pretty cool... but I can't get into them either.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

I saw them live back in 2000, and they were one of the worst bands I've ever seen. The fact that they are still huge today makes me question whether or not people should have different opinions from each other.

I liked that one song they did that was used in that film "Confidence" trailer.

I dig 'em. I plan on buying "Songs for the Deaf" sooner or later. I've watched their 2003 Rock Am Ring appearance on YouTube (NOT 2001) numerous times, and the songs do sound better sped up live. I do have to say that I dig Kyuss more (Homme and Oliveri's old band).

I remember liking them early on, mostly because my parents did. They probably were into it because a guy from Kyuss (?) was in it. But now they hate them.

Three members of Kyuss were in QotSA, according to Metal-Archives:
Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri, and Alfredo Hernandez.

I like QOTSA. Their last album was pretty good, but still not as great as Songs for the Deaf.

I saw them twice back in 2003, but didn't know any of their stuff.
However, I now feel that Lullabies to Paralyze is totally awesome.

Queens of the Stone Age, what a band. Brings back bad memories for me. It's a long story. Anyways, the only albums i think that are worth listening to are maybe the self titled one but i'm not sure because the only song i've heard off of that album is "if only." Other than that "Rated R" and "Songs for the Deaf" are the only albums worth buying because they are the only ones i would buy. After that they didn't seem to appeal to me. I heard "Little Sister" and "3&7s" and thought they were so-so.
Face It, Josh Homme is QoTSA. I don't even know who's in the band anymore because they change every album. The only thing every album does have is Josh Homme on vocals and guitar. Josh and Nick QoTSA were the good times. Dave Grohl was a good addition on Songs for the Deaf. After that album, i saw a few ads for their new albums, heard a few of their songs on the radio or internet and just wasn't impressed. Now they've just lost appeal for me. Every song i've heard after Songs for the Deaf sounds exactly the same. My point is that QoTSA's music is getting stale. They had better find a way to change their sound if they want me to buy their music. But that's just what I think.

I thought "millionare" was a rad song. it was featured on the tough enough season one soundtrack.
it's also the song I use for the "iron horse, iron terror" level from darkstalkers 3 in my mugen.

"Tangled Up In Plaid" and "Blood is Love" are two of my favorites, and I've gotten into "Little Sister" recently. The whole Rated R album is pretty good, too. Anything from Songs for the Deaf is too played out for me at this point.
