I watched this like 3 times in a row when I saw it on Kotaku, and then had to watch it again here. It's just so good.

...

Okay, one more time.

I thought air man was one of the weaker robot masters of MM2. It should be titled: "Heat man's level is a torture zone" because they showed plenty of clips of heaty's stage. Still, that was awesome!

I used to hate his level when I was a kid. All those moving platforms and stuff. But I hated Heat Man's level even more, and the Air Man boss battle wasn't hard.

Air Man is usually the first one I go after in MM2 because he's easy, and his Air Shooter comes in handy against things like the Walker Joes.

Even the instruction manual suggests that, but I always went after Metal Man first.

I think the first time I sat down to seriously play MM2, Air Man was the first guy I killed. For some strange reason I decided to go to Crash Man's level next, and I had previously gotten my ass handed to me many times before.

Oh what a glorious day it was when I found out the Air Shooter killed him in two hits.

Does it bug anyone else besides me that there was no real "rock paper scissor" weapon order for the bosses in MM2? And 3 now that I think about it.

That's what made MM2 so awesome. It had such a divers way of progressing that it spawned tons of replayablity.

Since we're on the subject of MM2 and music, i saw this one video where this guy found some J-Pop that was no doubt sampling the song from Wiley's Stage 1 & 2.

MM2 did have a rock-paper-scissors thing going but you could easily beat Flash, Bubble and Wood Man once you got the Metal Blade, so it didn't really matter. If I remember correctly Flash Man is equally weak against both Crash Bombs and Metal Blade. And of course Wood Man is weak against Atomic Fire but you can take him out with the blades easily too. So yeah.

And MM3 I think had 2 different rock-paper-scissors "circles" if you will. The first one had Magnet, Hard, Top, Shadow and Spark Man, and the other had Snake, Gemini and Needle Man.

So the only thing is the gap needs to be bridged between Spark Man and Snake Man.

This song was in my head all last week. I found it on youtube by typing Airman and it was on the first page. I was actually looking for a video of someone beating Airman only using the default weapon. The animation were the best part of the video imo.

I also found a diffrent vocal version of Wily's Castle with a chick singing instead of the guy screaming.
Starts around 2:50

In MM3 the robot masters were also weak against their own weapon.

Here's a link to the Mega Man Home Page and it illustrates the different variety in damage each robot master (MM1-MM3) could take from each weapon and how bland the damage ratio became after MM4.
