Well I'm still alive. I've been spending the last week doing nothing but play my old N64 games. It's been months since i gamed and the past week has been awesome.
My first choice to play was Gex 64. I played through my favorite level, the haunted tv and realized how small the level seemed in comparison to the first time i played. After completing everything in that level i went to the damn toon level and it was there i found out that bad camera angles and bright colors made a not so present gaming experience.
I then moved on to paper mario. It's a fun game but i'm more of a "balls to the walls" gamer and RPGs are not my thing. I love fire flowers though
I then played asteroids hyper 64 for like ten minutes. I hate them damn regenerating blue asteroids.
Rayman 2 the Great Escape was my next choice and i forgot how much i hate that game. It's harder then frozen shit. Unless your dedicated to collecting all the looms and beating the game, good luck. The swamp with that damn ski jet sssam and the cave of bad dreams are frustrating but not impossible. But the thing that boils my ass the most is after you complete a level, your health meter isn't refilled. What the shit is up with at?
Mischief Makers is a damn good game. It's not heart attack inducing like Rayman but it's balls to the walls enough for my enjoyment. My favorite part of the whole game is the Mario 2 like "grab and throw whoever"
I then played the oldy but goldie Super Mario 64. That game is awesome. It's beyond awesome. I breezed through the levels like no tomorrow and to think it took me a week to figure out how to get a the first star when first played SM64.
I then played some lucas art games: Pod Racer, Shadows of the empire, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. All glitchy but enjoyable. I love the cheats in the starwars games and Indiana Jones' Zelda like game play mixed with good old action makes for an interesting game play.
I eventually stopped bullshitting myself and popped in Goldeneye. That game never gets old, no matter how much you play it.
I did settle on Indiana Jones and played through the week. For some reason i felt like playing it for a change and did damn good in it. I almost got all the treasures and almost finished it, but I got stuck at the every end and the online walkthroughs aren't helping me any and the cherry on top of the shit sundae, All my player's guides have vanished. I'm going to be super busy for the next few months and won't be able to game for a while.
It felt good to game again though. I forgot the sheer thrill of playing any game.
Now, I can't be the only one gaming lately so, what thrills have you experienced?
And it wouldn't be me if I didn't post a game review, this one is on nintendo's latest madness: Da Wii!

I've been playing Gears of Fucking War. And Call of Duty Four. On the classic side of things, I've still been playing Bayou Billy. The game kicks my ass every time, but I can't put it down.

Apart from Mario 64, I think that Bomerman 64 was one of the greatest platformers on that system.

I love you.
I never got all the 100 gold cards and unlocked the real ending (with the rainbow sky world) but yes, I used to play it all day as a little one when I got the system the christmas it came out ('97). Shit, I mean even now, I can still hear the music from the game playing in my head. Multiplayer too, was better than the 2d games imo.
Bomberman Hero and BM64: The second attack were good too, but not as good as the first. It would be my dying wish if Hudson would make another game like it again.

I used to love Gex 64! I still have it somewhere, I should play it again if I could remember how the hell to hold an N64 controller. To think his silly catchphrases never once bored me. I have a ROM of the European version of Gex 64, actually, that I got so I could try some PAL-only Gameshark codes. In that version he's got some British, James Bond-imitator voice. It's... disorienting to say the least.
As for me, my latest nostalgic video game thrill is... probably this:
- This is Bluey's health meter. When it runs out he has to quit the forum.
My Sydapedia page lists my game collection and friend codes, if you're interested.

Most people don't, it's considered the weaker and most penned of the franchise.

I know. Thats why i brought it up.
But that reviewer is a dick. He just cant seem to handle change. A bad game is a bad game but being angry at a game due to the creators trying to do something fresh or new is terrible. I don't want to keep playing the same game just redone for multiple consoles.
Man i hate those guys who feel profanity is the key to make a review.

Armake21 was acting in that video. That being said, AVGN is the the first to do this type of review, and should be the only person to do them.
I never liked Bomberman in the first place.

I've loathed the game ever since it's announcement. Still rented it and played it at my friend's (I don't have a 360.. yet). All I gotta say is that Armake21 was way too nice to the game.

I don't take video game reviewers seriously. I just enjoy their ranting and wish i could play the game to experience the madness myself.

I loved mischeif makers. the idea of picking up a child and using them to block gunfire was a great idea.

I too love mischeif makers. My favorite stage is the first one because only 2 people are smart enough to jump over the fire place. It's too bad it never 'picked up' as an anime or game franchise.
