"The official website of Shogakukan's Big Comic magazine has posted the cover image of its January 10 issue (on sale December 25) which indicates that Takao Saito's Golgo 13 assassin manga will be adapted for television anime. An interior page reveals that the anime project will start next spring in Japan.

The manga recounts the assignments that an amoral mercenary assassin named Duke "Golgo 13" Togo executes on almost every continent in the world. Big Comic has been serializing the title since 1968, and the 147th compiled volume was published in Japan on December 5. Viz Media has published 12 graphic novel volumes in English, under its Viz Signature imprint, since 2006. The manga has already been adapted as a live-action movie (Golgo 13: The Kowloon Assignment) and two animated movies (Golgo 13: The Professional, Golgo 13: Queen Bee). Worldwide Pictures released an English-dubbed version of the live-action movie, and Urban Vision released both animated movies with English dubbing and subtitles."

I was getting ready to say I thought Golgo 13 had an anime already, but I was thinking of the movies.

Yeah, it rocks out loud, and I can't wait for this. Also, Someone will come in mentioning the NES games in 3..2..1..

I wanna play the arcade game that came out a few years ago, but I've never seen it anywhere to try. I loves me some Duke.

Pretty sure the recent arcade was Japan-only. I've seen screenshots though, and it looked pretty badass.

I had bought that game XIII a few years ago thinking it was a new Golgo 13 game. It wasn't, but it was hella fun.

There were acually three Golgo 13 arcade games:

Golgo 13 (1999)

Golgo 13 2 - Kiseki no Dandou (2000)

Golgo 13 3 - Juusei no Chinkonka (2001)

The first two ran off of PSX hardware, so I am surprised that no one has emulated them yet.

The third one, ran off of Namco System 10 Hardware.

im pretty sure there was a golgo 13 anime before. I thought the NES game was based on it, honestly.

When "The Professional" (aka Leon) first came out, did anyone else get excited thinking it was a Golgo 13 movie?

if you like XIII try killer7. pretty similar styles.

Yes. Only an underaged natalie portman watching transformers calmed my nerves when I found out it wasn't.
