I read on Wikipedia that Halo 3's graphics weren't that good.

They're definitely better than Halo 2 on the original Xbox. They're not much better than the updated Halo 2 graphics when played on a 360, though. The major upgrade is the gameplay, which actually went back to how Halo was, except with better weapon balance and more features.

I thought the graphics were excellent. There was little things here and there if you squint, but who cares. I think the best thing with the graphics was the really cool special effects/lighting/explosions.

My biggest gripes are a.) You can't dual weild Needlers anymore...LAME! and b.) The Pistol sucks so much cock that they nick named the pistol Paris. Ultra Lame...I still very much enjoy the game. Co-op is fun with scoring. Is it just me or is it impossible to turn off the little black bars on the side of the screen when in 2 player co-op?

Yeah, but at least the needlers aren't worthless now.

The blacks bars are there on widescreen so the FOV isn't all funky, I don't think there turn offable.

anyways, halo 3 had spectacular graphics. look at the sand level, when the ship comes in for a landing out of nowhere, blowing sand and debris away as it lands. look at the snow level, when running kicks up chunks of snow. hell, look out into the horizon on some of the levels, and look at the detail in all the things way out there. zoom in on the walls and floors in the flood ship. look at the individual veins pulsing and moving below the surface.

also, dual wield pistols and aim high, or combine it with the smg or ripper for insanely easy headshots.

if all else fails, charge em shooting to deplete shields and hope to punch them in the face before getting deaded.

Halo 3 is destroying my social life, so I'll be bitter about it for the next couple of months. It's just because I'm jealous. Wink

On Sat Dec 30, 2006 10: 48: I've only enjoyed playing [Halo] with 15 other people in massive group battles. On its own, I wasn't too thrilled. However, neither game I've owned or gotten far. Good voice actors though.

Halo 3 pissed me off, the campaign is short and the ending blew big balls. I am very pissed with Bungie. The game itself is awesome but jesus christ, why don't you just say "hey this is Bungie don't bother with the campaign mode, its lame, and just buy an XBOX Live account. BLAH!

I concur. The campaign was annoying. Especially w/all that crap Cortana kept on popping on your screen in the middle of levels.

And of course, racist Bungie had to kill the black dood first This Is A Joke

I know Bungie is not racist. At least, I hope they aren't.

Anyhow, I told some girl Happy Birthday a day late cause her birthday landed on the 25th and she asked why I was a day late (what a cunt, instead of saying thanks she asks why... but thats besides the point) and I told her I was basically too busy w/Halo 3 all day long to deal w/anything else. And like a typical mommy/woman she responds w/"I never heard of that movie... is that any good? Did you enjoy that movie? Where did you watch it?"

At any rate, thats my short Halo 3 story.

You can get rid of the black bars for 2 player co-op. You have to go into the dashboard and change your display settings. Just set it to 480 and it will be full screen. I use that when I play co-op and switch back to widescreen for solo play.

Reminds me of the time my aunt asked me if I, "still play the videos". I said yeah, in my VCR! I also play video GAMES.

Yea I figured that out last night when I was messing around with it. I watched a video of one of the levels I played and it was damn well fucking incredible. Maybe i'm just easy to please, but being able to look all around the level while your guy goes on a murder rampage is pretty sweet. Also helps when looking for the skulls.

When I first got my N64 my mom asked if we had to rewind the cartridges. She said the same thing when we got our DVD player.

to this day my mom won't touch the DVD player in our house because she can't figure out how the menus work.
