The entire card is full of "who cares" matches... you know things are bad when the biggest draw is the return of a guy who gets grief for hogging the spotlight every week. But I tried to think back, only the 95 Summerslam seems to be a worse card overall.
Is anyone here buying the PPV this weekend? If so, which match are you looking forward to, if any?

1991 was pretty bad. The only good match out of the card was Bret Hart vs Mr. Perfect for the IC belt.
The main even was Hogan & Warrior vs Slaughter and Colonel Mustafa and General Adnan. While all those people drew crowds, it wasn't due to their wrestling abilities.
I'll probably just download the PPV on Monday to watch. The only matches I think that will be worth seeing are C.M.Punk vs Morrison and Mystero vs Chavo.

Haven't really looked at the Summerslam card... I don't watch much WWE anymore. I usually watch like half of RAW then get bored. I watched Smackdown for the first time in awhile last night and I think I should be watching that instead, because their roster in more interesting.
I had never seen Deuce N' Domino before. They are awesome. I love the Dice Clay jackets and the 50s greaser gimmick.

I don't know why they don't just merge the rosters of RAW/SD and leave ECW as the "rebel" thing they try to sell it as. If they're gonna cross-promote all the PPVs and do storylines that cover all the brands, what's the point of brand-specific wrestlers?

Umm not quite SummerSlam but hopefully Triple H will win the Wwe Championship because I dont even care if he hogs the spotlight. Hes a good champ and Cena has had it too damn long now.

In my mind, Jericho will still be making his return at Summerslam... that being said, I'm not wasting my money on it. If it should happen, I'll watch it on youtube the next day.

I doubt it. Maybe in six months or so, but I doubt it will be tonight.
I would have watched some of Smackdown last night, but it got preempted so that we could watch the Red Sox slaughter the White Sox.

Well, my question was if he had been signed.
There have been rumors swirling for months now that Jericho was looking to sign with either TNA or WWE, and Brock Lesnar has sent feelers out to TNA, WWE, and UFC.
I would love to see Lesnar sign with WWE and Jericho with TNA, mainly because I love Jericho and hate Lesnar.

Probably gonna go to Buffalo Wild Wings and watch it for free. I always liked Rey and to see him come back from his "horrific" injury to kick Chavo's ass is gonna be nice. Also Mr Kennedy, Carlitto, and Umanga (Regal Pronunciation). If Cena doesn't lose to Randy Orton I am never going to DVR wrestling (cept TNA) ever again.

I heard Cena is supposed to drop the belt tonight. Summerslam was the venue that Orton beat Benoit a few years back.

I'll be stealing the PPV when I get home Sunday... if Jericho is there I'll probably start watching WWE again.

Y'see, I loved Jericho in the WCW, but he seemed not as funny when he went to the WWF. Maybe because they made him a face most of the time. Jericho is at his most comical as a heel. The man of a 1,004 holds bit is a level of hilarity I don't think he'll ever attain again. Angle became the funniest, but now he just seems like a solid, technical wrestler. I don't know who has filled that comedic hole since then, as I've hardly watched the last five years.

No one. The new DX was cheesy "I'm a 12 year old at Spencer's, giggling at the fat lady birthday cards" kind of humor, and Cena tries desperately to be Rock 2.0, but it's just not happening. Anything funny that happens is usually 100% unintentional, any more.

Lesnar has been on UFC for a while, I guess. I remember one of my friends talking about a month or two ago how he massacred some guy. I still haven't seen it myself, but I would like to.

It was funny to say the least. However like I said I am never watching wrestling again. PATHETIC pay-per-view, except for Regal Dancing.

Are you confusing this with 4chan again, BM? Or is this just some statement on how Twinkies are poisoning America's youth?

I think hostess bought out sydlexia. It's like those old comics where shitty one-shot villians were defeated with fruit pies, but different in every way.

2007's King of Ring tournament was easily the worst since 2003.
Seriously, what the fuck? Why bring it back in 2006 and then not do it in 2007? Well, I mean, I KNOW why. It's because King Booker has been groomed into a top heel and McMahon doesn't want to hold another tournament and have him drop the gimmick.
I want to see an old school, KotR tourney, goddammit, the way they did back up until 1991 back before McMahon got greedy and wrestlers turned into lazy fucks who couldn't work multiple matches in a night: 16 men, 13 matches, 1 night, 1 PPV, 1 champion. That shit fucking ruled.
I guess I'd even be happy if the PPV started with the quarter finals like it did in 1993-1995 and 1999-2000. 8 men, 7 matches is still a tournament. But starting with the semi-finals is a fucking joke, and only having the KotR title match at the KotR PPV is complete fucking bullshit.
