I happened to watch an episode of this a few nights ago when I was looking for TV to view while getting stoned (ZOMG!!!111 DRUG use!!111 FLAMEFLAMEFLAMEFLAME!!!!!!1111) and though I don't think I'll ever be stranded in the cloud forests of Borneo, it was really interesting to watch just the same. For those not in the know, it's about a guy who recreates situations of survival that ordinary people may have to face and shows you how to get food, water, building shelter, etc. So far I've seen him conquer the rain forest, the Scottish highlands and a desert isle and I'm pretty hooked. The best part was when he ate beetle grubs as long as my thumb and twice as fat alive, just bit their heads right off. Plus, the host's name is Bear! You can't beat that. Anybody else watch?

Hahaha, that's awesome. I like how in the Scotland one he's like "The best way to kill a rabbit is to kneel on its head and twist the body quickly." all nonchalant, snapping the thing's neck like it's the easiest thing ever.

bear grylls is a MAN... besides chuck norris... no one manlier...
lol... anyhow... i've seen a ton of his episodes... including the one in the african savannah... he gets a piece of elephant dung and squeezes it to get water out... and big piece of crap breaks loose from the elephant 'pellet' and lands in his mouth... gross...
and sorry about the ellipses... i'll try to cut back on those... obviously not on this message but in future posts...

he bit the head of a green snake...
he ate pieces of a dead zebra... this guy is bad-fucking-ass...
and the accent just makes him sound even cooler... lol...

^I just died a little on the inside when I read that.
Brings me down, but it is reality TV, so I'm not that surprised.

Oh, I knew that. Survivorman is the one actually out there, but his show is kind of boring. And besides, the bastard scaled Everest.

Apparently Bear's producers think that dropping him in the middle of nowhere to survive means 50 yards from the freeway.
