After eight long months, almost as long as I worked on the whole rest of the series six years ago, I finally have The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom under my belt.
Consequently, I won't even consider touching Echoes Of Wisdom until 2026. On a Wednesday. |
NICELY done Prime!
How did you like it vs BotW?

Well, it certainly provided a leagues fuller experience, and its sheer scope shows why I was right to get the Wii U version of the last game.

Having suffered a tragic mishap while playing my repro cart of Ys IV, I decided to play Dragon Warrior VII instead. Four months later, I finally have it under my belt. Years ago, I read that finishing it would take over 100 hours. Turns out, that was a major lowball. I was on the bastard for over 250 hours! Still a little under half the timesink Tears Of The Kingdom was, though.

Finished Gimmick! 2 with all the trophies. If I were Yumetaro, I'd start to get paranoid that this is going happen yet again in 30-odd years with What's-Her-Name III. At least he didn't have to fight a human this time.

Finished the Ys series after only slightly less time than Tears Of the Kingdom alone took, unfortunately with an asterisk (see Things that piss you off, video game edition for details).

As I was finishing Legend Of Kay for the first time since mid-2016, I finally figured out, after half my life, how to open that one chest in the volcano. Turns out there's a zhong chain where one of the path segments falls away into the lava. There's a Black Armor inside, and another through the Demon Gate atop the nearby stairs.
