I'm really kind of torn about this movie. It wasn't the movie I intended to go see, or at least, I didn't experience it as such. I thought I was going to see an irreverent, hilarious Rogen and Co. comedy. What I got was a great deal more frightening, disgusting (I know dick and cum jokes are the stock in trade of quite a few of the actors in it, but even THEY seemed uncomfortable with some of the material), and ultimately, kind of uplifting than I'd anticipated, and despite what a lot of people're saying, I feel it had a very strong Christian message embedded in it. It provoked a lot of conversation between my wife and I when we left the theatre.
I think, really, the only negative thing I have to say about it was the fuckers up front who brought their ten-ish and younger pair of children. This is not a fucking family movie unless you've got adult children/are the Manson Family, and you are a shitty parent if you let your kid under, say, 16 watch it at all. Like many of the people who complained about how it wasn't like Pineapple Express/the other stuff those actors've done, or that it's blaspheming/sacreligious/offensive to Christianity, they missed the fucking points entirely.

And Michael Cera was probably the funniest part. The second to last celebrity cameo actually made the entire audience gasp, and I think one lady cried. It was fucking something, alright.

 4/5 stars

Yeah, guess his cell phone wasn't THAT important after all. I thought it was a great movie. Can't wait for the dvd to come out with all the special features. I bet there's some great outtakes. Rogan and Evans did fantastic considering it was their first time behind the camera.
I would be mortified if I found out my kids watched this! I can't imagine what all their parents let them watch at home...

By their blase reactions, I'm guessing snuff pornography of the 'skullfucking whilst still alive' vein. Someone's busy raising the next Jerry Brudos.

For what I thought was just a pure dumb comedy, it has gotten very high reviews. I want to see it pretty badly, hopefully I can get my friends to shell out a few bucks to come see it.

I have to agree with all of the positive sentiments about this thing. Though that whole jerking off argument went on for too long.

Whenever, I read this thread title, in my head, I hear it in Jim Morrison's voice. That is all.
