What do you call someone who is all about twitter? Twitterers? Twits? Twats?
I have a twitter account but it all seemed to be just mass attention whoring for the most part, so I rarely use it. I guess it is a good outlet if you have insecurities and you need your ego stroked constantly to boost your self esteem. That's what one of my buddies does with instagram and twitter.

That's how I view social media in general. My buddies talked about their twitter accounts on the way to the Sox game yesterday, in the context of using it to badger companies in order to get better customer service. One turned to me and asked, you don't have a twitter account, do you? Said no, and that I didn't have a Facebook account either.
Although, to be honest, another reason I don't have social media accounts is because I don't want people from high school tracking me down; I would rather keep that era in my past, and try to live for the future.

Yeah being tracked by people from your past can suck.
The friend I mentioned before is overly obsessed with instagram, but points out how much he hates Facebook at every opportunity. So I told him that instagram is owned by Facebook and watched as his brain nearly imploded and the best he could come up with in his defense was "but it's pictures!" Some people are just stupid.

I think what needs to happen is that I need to return from my place in the shadows and become a site contributor so there's an actual reason for traffic. Cause big brother Syd is working full-time and I am just a lowly college student.

That's great, I'm going to celebrate by playing Bayonetta 2.
If you guys think I've been working on stuff all this time I haven't. My old computer was 11 years old when I finally ditched it, and was a piece of shit. Instead of prioritizing buying a new computer, I simply did less stuff on my computer as it got increasingly worse. Honestly, this site is the only thing I actually need a my computer for. If I want to play video games, I have consoles and a 3DS. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, internet surfing? I have a smartphone. Netflix? Also on my console, and I'd rather watch it on a TV anyway.
On top of that? I have had no time. My whole summer was spent working 70 hour weeks due to a strike at a competitor. The one good thing about that though was that it gave me money to buy a new computer, which I got last Wednesday. It is setup and it is awesome. The fact that it doesn't randomly hang for three minutes at a time when loading programs is going to make my interest in doing computer stuff way higher.
So, long story short, I'm a failure. Thanks for reminding me and ruining my week.
