I figured since some people have posted their plans to visit other parts of the country that I would as well.

In a rare case, I'll be traveling up to the Philadelphia area in roughly a month. Other than trying an authentic Philadelphia cheese steak, I'm not sure what all there is to see or do, so any suggestions? Nothing too touristy of course (my friend recommends some place other than Geno's or Pat's).

I would try
: King of Prussia Mall (Second biggest mall in America)
: Valley Forge, or Independence Hall if you like history.
: The Art Museum is nice
: Fairmont Park is beautiful this time of year. Try the Schuylkill River trail along side Boat House row.
: The zoo is awesome!
: Across the river, Camden has a nice aquarium, a minor league baseball team and the Battleship New Jersey (Don't go into the actual city of Camden, bad news)

Hope this helps!

Go to West Philly and play some basketball behind a school.

Thanks Jimmy, it seems this is somewhere in North Philly too:

Bit of a long shot, but did you leave for Philly yet? If you haven't, I can give you a few good spots to check out- being that I'm from that area and all.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

Actually I came back home Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m.

The only thing I saw that was mentioned was King of Prussia (only covered one of the two buildings and checked out a Lego Store for the first time). I'm in internet video recap mode for now, but I'll post something more detailed in a day or two.
