Is anyone else as amped for the arrival of this game as I am? I've been sitting around waiting for it to FINALLY be released, only to get blue-balled and be told it's getting pushed back to the PS4. It's fine. I assume it will be worth the wait given that Shadow of the Colossus ranks up there as one of my favorite video games of all time. In case you haven't seen the trailer for Guardian:

Disappointed it's getting pushed back to PS4, as I plan to pick up a PS3 by January, but yeah, this game looks damn cool.

well, at least they confirmed its being pushed back to ps4, instead of just abandoning the game entirely.
i almost thought it was cancelled since i havent heard anything about this game in ages

Pushing it back to PS4 seems like a risky proposition. It increases dev time and dev costs, as it forces them to essentially rebuild the entire game to look as good as the more powerful hardware can make it, and to take advantage of PS4's social features.
This was already a niche title. It will receive critical praise, and the people who buy it will love the fuck out of it, but it won't sell well. I guess they're probably using it as bait to energize the Sony fanboys to get excited about the PS4.

Good call, Syd. I don't even care that it'll be a niche game- I'm happy to be part of that niche. It's just a shame that Ueda has had all sorts of problems getting the game from production to console. I'll but it, and love the hell out of it.

I haven't heard anything about this game since I seen a trailer for it around 4 or so years ago. Glad to hear they're still working on it.

Is Ueda still working on this? The last I heard of this game was in an article about him leaving Sony.
EDIT:Nevermind. I just remembered that I can use google.

Last I heard, Ueda is working on it as a consultant with his entire team still in tact. He left Sony, but since the game had started production, he didn't want to leave it unfinished. All told, I've HEARD that the game will be out for Christmas this year. Then again, that's what they said in 2009.

Then it has to have been pushed back for year at least. I guess it's better that we get a polished game even if it takes longer. Sometimes I forget this and Beyond Good and Evil 2 are still in development, its been so long.
