Back on track I just helped move a San Francisco RUSH arcade machine into a friend's house last night
Speaking of the 90's arcades and being able to smoke in public places (I do not smoke anymore but hate that being taken away)

I only went into one arcade as a kid that had smoking but my at-the-time cigarette allergy made me wanna die while I was in there.

Also I miss comic book companies (D.C. and Marvel) had 1 continuity at any given time and wasn't retconned to death

I thought the '90s were pretty terrible for comics myself, with the obvious exception of Sandman.

The 90's had it's share of problems comic book wise, but outside of my early comment in regard to continuity it brought us many great characters (i.e. Deadpool, Cable, Chamber etc.) and had a great surge in new independent comic publisher, some still around, some gone (Valiant, Continuity Comics, Oni Press etc.). Granted the every comic has to have a special chrome foil die cut foldout cover every 10 issues and an overuse of crossovers was a bit much. Not to mention the need for 5 variant covers for every #1 of a series, but many of the stories and characters, and indeed the culture itself being less accepted but more special to those of us that got it, I miss that and feel sad for anyone that missed out on or didn't like that time in comics.
