It's just a sound thing. You see "oh" as an interjection, but never just "h". "Do" isn't an interjection either.

To me, woah is a million times better than the socially accepted spelling that is in the dictionary. Of course, I also think the English language is incredibly stupid; it sounds beautiful, it's great for songwriting, poetry, etc., but it just has quite a few too many dumb-ass things about it. WOAH FOR LIFE
