A lot of churches have different stipulations regarding marriage. It's stupid to think that gay marriage being legalized would require all churches to perform them. For that matter, why would a gay couple even WANT to have something as important as a wedding in a place where people were morally opposed to their presence is beyond me. I'm fairly certain that the concept was created by people opposed to gay marriage as a scare tactic.

Identity. If you're gay but also strongly identify as Southern Baptist, what can you do. Changing religious identification is easier than changing sexual orientation, but still often difficult.

Agreed. And in order to be fair, it would have to include every religion, no just the Christian denominations.
