I usually sleep on the floor, and when the weather permits I like to sleep on the grass in my backyard. I have been known to sleep while standing and occasionally, with my eyes open. I also frequently suffer from sleep paralysis, which really makes it look like I am dead if I am frozen in some sort of bizarre pose with my eyes open and I don't respond. A few of my friends and family members have thought I was dead over the years, lol.
I have a bed, but I mostly use it to just be lazy on and to have sex in. I have only slept in it a handful of times.

I wish I had the same degree of flexibility when it comes to sleeping. If I don't sleep in a soft bed, I wake up feeling like someone snapped my spinal cord.
I've never tried sleeping in the grass though. I always assumed I would be bit as I slept, so...

I usually sleep on the floor, in front of the door. Sometimes on a couch. Rarely on a bed.

<Drew_Linky> Well, I've eaten vegetables all of once in my life.

Sometimes I get bitten, but I am pretty used to it and it doesn't happen as often as you would think. I certainly wouldn't be sleeping outside if I lived somewhere that had poisonous snakes or scorpions and other horrible insects/creatures that could do some serious damage.

I usually go to sleep using my body's sleeping posture of the minute, which is usually a variation of the facing-upwards or facing-to-the-side positions. Can't do facing-downwards positions as those require me to have my face buried in my pillow (or turned to the side), which restricts my breathing.
In regards to things other than posture, I cannot go to sleep at all if I am watching a video of some description, or using stuff like my iPad or iPhone or laptop, unless I am extremely tired, which is rare. Usually, this means I have to have a time where I stop using this stuff and focus on getting to sleep (as of now, that is 3-5am during school breaks and 12-2am otherwise). I can go to sleep in most low-light and low-noise conditions, but I find getting to sleep much easier when there is very little light (basically, a step above pitch black), and no noise.

I am quite the insomniac, lucky if I get even an hour of sleep a night.
