My beard used to come in pretty patchy but this Winter I didn't own a scarf and I tried growing one again only to find it no longer does so. So now I'm working on growing the ZZ Top beard that I've always wanted to try growing. Got about 6 months or thereabout of growth already, and the only thing I've trimmed is the mustache. It is a bitch to drink anything out of a cup if you don't keep it trimmed short enough that it doesn't dip into liquids as you drink them. Don't know how long it is going to take but estimates I've seen on the internet say anywhere from 2 to 7 years to get one that long.

I honestly like having a beard; There's no more of that shaving and then having your face itch as it starts to grow back, plus my face doesn't look so damn young now which has lead to being carded a lot less. My Dad seems to think it is a good thing, my Mom is on the fence about it, and my Grandma hates it, having already threatened to disown me if I didn't shave it.
