I will read his policies now.

That takes a while. Because he's run as a liberal senate candidate, a moderate governor and now a conservative presidential candidate, Willard has been on both sides of pretty much every major issue in US politics. He has no core values, so far as I can tell.

I am on his presidential policies now. I imagine his others may feed in but i would like to think his conservative ones are more important.

It's a bit of a fuck you if you voted for him as president on his conservative ideals then he did a 180 and started bringing other views in.

EDIT: Reading his issues here: http://www.mittromney.com/

I particularly like the OBAMAS FAILURE.

On every page. Makes me lol hard.

EDIT2: To be fair i haven't really read his economic policies because i can't really comment on them, i am not aware of the American system. I see that he is going balls out for the rejuvenate the economy, provide jobs etc. which is to be expected. However some of his other policies are so fucking retarded i could totally disregard the economic ones.

In a nutshell:

The Obama administration’s war on carbon dioxide—what Time magazine has called “the most far-reaching environmental regulatory scheme in American history”—is the highest-profile EPA effort. But the EPA also continues to issue endless new regulations touching on countless other forms of economic activity—regulations that drive up costs, hinder investment, and destroy jobs.

Those past views are still going to factor in when it comes down to it. No one will know what to expect from the guy and that is going to scare off a lot of potential voters, even ones who are displeased with Obama that might have voted against him if the Republicans had fielded some decent candidates.

I personally really dislike Obama, but I can't see myself voting for Romney. I can't decide if the guy is actually moderate or was just playing at it in the past to help his chances as a Presidential candidate and is really a conservative. I'd vote for a moderate, I won't vote for a conservative.

The thing I find funny is that my super conservative family absolutely hates Obama but still thinks Romney is a super tool and don't want to vote for him. Guess they'll have to decide the lesser of two evils come November.

It seems weird to have someone switch views. I guess he's just playing the conservative field to get votes.

I can only imagine that the conservatives are pissed about Obama so will be desperately trying to get him out. Romney is in a kind of a good position in that respect aka he could have a chance as president.

Awk i dunno i read some of his policies and i disagree with most of them but some of them seem okay.

With regards to abortion i disagree with his personal view. It's good to see that he isn't forcing his views down peoples throats though.

He seems to then go back on that though and just presumes that the whole of USA has his view: "good heart of America knows no boundaries, a commitment to protecting life should not stop at the water’s edge."

This is the one thing that pisses me off about USA and it's perfectly emphasised here:

"The compassionate instincts of this country should not be silent in the face of injustices like China’s One-Child policy. No one will ever hear a President Romney or his vice president tell the Chinese government that "I fully understand" and won’t “second guess” compulsory sterilization and forced abortion."

It doesn't matter if i agree or disagree with the policy. The problem is that Romney thinks he can just stroll his way in and tell China what they are doing is wrong. It is none of his fucking business what China does in this regard. The one child policy does not affect USA in any shape or form. If i was the Chinese government i would tell him to get on his bike. It's just such a stupid and generic view to have: "oh they do something differently, they are wrong". Does he fucking think that maybe they have the policy for a reason? - Overpopulation. No. It's just a stupid and uneducated view to have and Romney can suck my dick with regards to this matter.

I agree with Stem Cell, it needs controlled.

I disagree with Marriage because i am for gay rights. I note though that it's very interesting that he sort of uses the whole American freedoms stuff in some aspects - like abortion oh you can decide but then in marriage he is like NO. Why can't they decide that shit on a state level as well? He said in a different part to paraphrase "too much federal interference". How is this not Federal interference? You are giving people no choice at all.

On healthcare i can't comment, i heard when it came out the opposition to Obamacare. I see why he is against it and i am not really clear on how it would function, would it work well in the US so i cannot comment.

National defence just pissed me off. It's the same as above. The whole "oh we are America we are coming in to save the day, we will control the world, America fuck yeah."

Again I disagree with the whole concept that America thinks it controls everything. As a foreign citizen it is extremely annoying to see conflicts and American just swooping it's ass on in and usually just to get at oil.

Also the environmental section was fucking ridiculous, i am not even going to begin on how stupid and uneducated it is. Facepalm will suffice for now.

That's my problem with most conservatives, really. All of them seem to hold to that antiquated view of gay marriage being an abomination, plus I'm pro-choice on abortion and very few of them are. Yet they will go on to say shit like "too much government interference" but want us passing laws saying these people can't get married or this woman can't have an abortion. That's a lot of the reason why I won't vote for them, too fucking hypocritical.

I like that he wants to try to fix our fucked economy but a lot of the views he's spouting right now kinda piss me off. There's some stuff Obama has done that has changed my opinion about him and why I'd like to find someone else to vote for. I'll probably be writing in a vote.

Businessman as President, Oh boy.

Meh, he's no Berlusconi.

He certainly is a flip-flopper though, but because of his business experience, I have faith that he's a fiscal conservative, and the economy is the biggest issue for this election probably. So, I see him as a good choice in that regard.

Meh, that's every election. "Giant douche vs. Turd Sandwich."

That is certainly a paradox I've been noticing more lately, and is why I don't like social conservatives that much, and absolutely dislike that theocrat Santorum. I'm against the nanny state in all its forms, whether it tells you what healthcare to buy or what you can do in your bedroom.

All parties are hypocrites though. They just say what is most advantageous for them at the time, regardless of what they have said in the past.

Bluegrass pioneer Earl Scruggs died today at 88. I was a fan.

Yes...yes I did. I was looking for the 2012, not for the actual thread title. My apologies.
