Any theories as to what the power of the little girl is? The one previewed for next week's ep. I'm wondering it it'll be like that neutralizing kid in X-men 3, but that seems too similar to the Haitian's power(s).

You know what show I like? Gyros.

It's about extraordinary sandwiches with delicious powers.

Does anyone else feel cheated by the little girl's power to detect anyone by thinking about them? I mean, if they find sylar, great. He can still turn your head into a jack-O-lantern and eat your brain. And if Suresh saved her life, how did they fail to find the bastard in the future?

Wow...that's actually a pretty good question. Maybe Sylar manages to come across the Haitian (forced to kill him with actual weapons) and gains the power-dampening field ability he has.

No, the Haitian was alive in the future. Surresh killed him.

I think the answer is fairly simple. Everyone believed that it was Sylar who exploded in NYC and killed all those people, so no one was looking for him. You don't look for people who are already dead.

Also Future Hiro told Present Day Hiro that he had tried to kill Sylar but failed because Sylar had absorbed Claire's healing power. When Present Day Hiro told Future Hiro that Claire was still alive in his timeline, Future Hiro told him he had to kill Sylar. However, Future Hiro was wrong on two counts. First, he believed it was Sylar who had exploded in NYC. Secondly, he believed Claire was dead. Before the end of the episode, we learn neither one of things was true.

Hiro's going about killing sylar in all the wrong ways. Teleport him to some kind of disaster in the far past.

"Do you know how dinosaurs went extinct?"
"No"
"Well Sylar does."

(bonus points to the person that can tell me where thats from)

For those of you who might not be getting enough Heroes in your life, here's the good news. NBC will begin airing a companion show to the series, entitled Heroes: Origins, just after the season finale of Heroes airs. The new show will have all kinds of fun new characters for you to enjoy, and viewers will be able to vote one of the Origins characters onto the main show when it returns in the fall.

In other NBC news, the network has announced their fall schedule for 2007, and, though 30 Rock, Scrubs, and ER will be returning, they have pulled the trigger on cancelling Studio 60, which means that the episodes that will run over the summer will be the series' last.

Wait, what?

Surely they're already producing the next season right now. How would they crowbar in a character like that, unless (1) the outcome is already predetermined and no amount of voting will change it, (2) they filmed ridiculous amounts of alternate footage (read: cost-prohibitive), or (3) it's just a piddly cameo?

The people involved on the week-to-week basis will either have similar powers or not have their role(s) in the main show be power-centric (as opposed to Ted, whose radioactivity is the entire freaking reason for the first season). I don't think the Origin people will have any major impact, but they'll be there.

The entire season usually isn't filmed at once. The character would probably appear in the second half of the Heroes season.

Also, the way I had originally heard the story, Heroes: Origins was going to be part of the fall line-up since NBC is in desperate need of programming, what with most of their new shows bombing. If that's the case, the Origins character wouldn't debut until Season 3.

I was under the impression that the Origin stuff would air during the winter hiatus, as Heroes' ratings went down after the long wait.

I just had a thought about the season finale:

Why didn't Peter just fly off into space by himself when he was going nuclear?

The explanation that's being given is that he either a) can only use one power at a time; or b) he was so freaked out about overloading that he couldn't control other powers. I'm willing to believe either explanation.

No idea on the mom, but I'm thinking Mr. Nakamura is immortal like Vandal Savage (Jeebus and I are pretty sure that was him as "Kensei" in the two minute preview of Season 2).

Seconded on the Kensei catch.

I think Mama Petreilli is a pre-cog. That would explain how she knows so much and how Peter managed to "see" the future when he passed out in front of the jail. My guess is he empathed her power without realizing it (remember, at that point he couldn't really control what power(s) he used and when he used them).

I hope he survives far enough into the future to explore space.

Well, the Star Trek universe has crossed over with the X-men twice. I don't see why not.

Ain't It Cool News wrote:
Nick D'Agosto, who had been cast to play Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) boyfriend on the hit TV show Heroes, died today in an apparent hit and run car accident. Police have no leads. The show's producers wasted no time in naming blogger Syd Lexia as D'Agosto's replaced.

"It's awful that I got the job this way," remarked Lexia in an interview, "But I got a real (expletive) job!"

According to Lexia, his character will be able to channel free floating electrons in the air and focus them to deliver "facial blasts" to his foes.

"The facial blast is awesome. I'm practicing it with Hayden right now."

I don't know why AICN is reporting this... none of it's true. Most glaringly, I'm not a fucking blogger.

DC Comics is doing a graphic novel under their Wildstorm label, written by Tim Sale (whose are have been featured in Isaac's drawings).
There's also going to be a 3rd person game that lets you control multiple characters from the cast. It'll be done by UbiSoft and be for both PC and consoles.
