Final Fantasy 1...Currently about 20% through Final Fantasy 2...
My attempt to is to play the series from start to finish, game by game, without cheats or anything else.

I'm working on playing FF8 again, but I spent like the first 12 hours playing the card game because I wanted some of the powerful rare cards so I could win all the crappy ones I needed for making items later in the game. Kinda cool that it got released on PSN because I've been wanting to play it again, but my brother sold our copy years ago.

I did something like that last year, only I stopped at beating 10 (for the first time!), because after that, the series lost its heart. Also, 11's unresolvable.

That's kind of what I'm doing. I played the first one most of the way through and then the second one more than halfway through. Last night I just downloaded the third one (again) with an emulator on my computer. I did that once before but my old computer lost my save when I was near the end. I was pissed. It was a shitty computer though.

Final Fantasy 2 (Not 4). I beat it about 4 or 5 months ago. The next one I plan on beating is Tales of the Abyss 3DS when it comes out on the 14th.

Just beat Bastion a few hours ago. Quite an excellent game with a killer soundtrack! The difficulty setup is quite interesting; I ran through the plot with all obtained idol modifiers turned on and still didn't run into too much trouble, but perhaps removing spirit bonuses would effectively remedy that issue. At any rate, I'll be going through the New Game + mode.
Edit - I've now completed Bastion on the New Game + mode with all idols turned on. I basically used the Brusher's Pike and the Army Carbine for most of the journey. The three visits to Who Knows Where were also beaten with all ten idols on; I may buy the Stranger's Dream DLC in the future, since it's only $1 on Xbox Live.
Quite an excellent game! The difficulty still didn't jump the way I would have preferred, but I was still satisfied by the gameplay.

Beat FF XIII-2. Now I'm working on beating all the alternate endings, just three to find now. Then I get to spend forever and a half trying to win at slots to get a fucking fragment so I'll have all of the damned things.

I beat FF6 for the umpteenth time last week. However, the last RPG I've only beaten once would probably be Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

Same here. The last time I had played was probably around 10 years ago.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age. A replay, but it was good to replay nonetheless.

Going to necro this thread since I just beat Lufia 2 for the first time. Felt it was worth mentioning since it's definitely one of the better RPGs out there. I just felt the final stretch was kinda lame compared to the rest of the game. Where were all the cool puzzles that made a majority of the game so awesome? Overall good game though. 4/5.

Oh good, a RPG winning thread risen from it's grave at just the right time.
Anyway, I just beat EarthBound a few days ago. Despite this, I still have a strong attachment to the game, and it's music has been playing in my head (and my iPhone) constantly. Damn, that game is so good.

I beat Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning recently. It was pretty nice, but even on the hardest difficulty, it's one of the easiest games I've ever finished.

Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. I don't usually play RPGs (Or sports games) that don't have the word "Mario" in the title.

Persona 4. Took about 200 hours. I think this is my longest playtime in any game ever.

That was my intention, but I probably missed a bunch of things. Huge game.
