...well, unfortunately, this article cops out on it despite the image right at the start. Still, I found this little article pretty interesting.

I forget if the movie tells us where the Ghostbusters got their proton packs (did they invent them?), but I'd think the scientific research/engineering/acquisition of nuclear fuel to run them has to cost $100's of millions. Then when they're only charging expensive hotels $5,000 a pop for a standard cleaning (including proton charging fee), you've got to figure they're well into the red. Each GB can't be making much.

Egon invented their gear, and do remember that the other two WERE scientists...and it is a movie. But yeah, that's a pretty hefty initial investment. But they could afford it - all three of them were professors before they were Ghostbusters, and I'd like to think Egon has a few patents out there. Still, they owned the business, so their "salary" was dependent on what the business made. When you think about it, the only one taking home a regular paycheck was Winston.

I believe most of their equipment was built with money from university research grants.

I have an issue with this list. What kind of fantasy jobs are these? I see only one fantasy job, maybe two, and those are ghostbuster and astronaut. People must fantasize about boring fucking shit these days. Why isn't ninja, pirate, wizard, etc. on this list?

The same website they used to determine the salaries (indeed.com) lists the annual salary of a Ninja as $85,000. It's good to know my childhood dream pays well. Razz
