You forgot Meet The Press.

It's been on the air since 1947.

Yes, good call.

And Sixty Minutes has been on since sometime in the early 70s, I believe.

CBS is way on top right now. NBC is actually getting killed in the ratings as their only "real" hits this season were Heroes and Deal or No Deal.

ewwww..... there's nothing dirtier than using the words hit & Deal or No Deal in the same sentence!

Someone was saying CW cancelled Veronica Mars...

Yeah, it's gone so said the show's creator. The writers have moved on to other gigs and Kristen's contract expires in two weeks. No one has told him anything about renewing it. Sad

This really sucks because they're running the finale as a "season finale"... "Dark Angel" memories returning... Evil

The last commercial I saw said season finale. That may change in the next week.

Those fucks at CBS cancelled Jericho.

I guess they had to make room for another CSI spin-off.

CSI: Arkansas

"So, we've got a rape victim with a head wound, probably inflicted by a blunt object. Any ideas?"
"It was his uncle. He knocked the man out and then raped him."
"How did you know?"
"We're in fucking Arkansas. Bill Clinton was governor here."

K-Ville - I already know this will not be the show I wish it was... But I'll continue to hope.

My faith is renewed after seeing a commercial for it. Anthony Anderson and Cole Hauser as partners? Plus the show looks like a "check your brain", high octane action series. I always need one of those in my life. So right now that and "Reaper" are my two biggest hopes for the new season.

New shows start in a few weeks. I have no idea when any of them are on. Actually, TV this fall in general is looking more bleak than last year. Last year we had "Justice", "Kidnapped", "Jericho", "Runaway" and "Vanished" to look forward to... Oh wait, they all got canceled!! Well, Jericho got uncanceled.

Except for "K-Ville" and "Reaper" I don't think I'm interested in any of the new shows. I might watch the "Bionic Woman" pilot, but these expectations are low. "Big Shots" has a cast I like, but is it enough for me to find out when it's on? "Pushing Daisies" someone told me I'd like... "Dirty Sexy Money" ... Rolling Eyes

But worst of all "Eli Stone" is only a mid-season replacement show! Evil

I haven't been excited about broadcast television in... forever. And I'm only now realizing that because my apartment doesn't have cable.

Seriously, the only thing that's perked me up is that the CW shows reruns of Family Guy right before the Simpsons now.

And I guess I can stay content as long as CBS keeps showing the Price is Right and Jeopardy every morning. ...God, I'm old.

House, Heroes and Supernatural. Those are the three i'm interested in, everything else is to the wind. Well i was interested in that new series called "Reaper" but it runs at the same time as House. And anything that runs during House is dead to me.

House is on some shaky ground with me now that Cameron resigned. I'm all for change to keep a show fresh but she was 1/2 the reason i watched House. The other 1/2 is the Riveting story.

Heroes . . . well because it's awesome.

Supernatural because it reminds me of Buffy/Angel but it's much darker.

Reaper looks interesting, kindof that campy shit that made Buffy famous. Nothing is going to keep me from watching the premier of House . . . NOTHING!

Chase, Cameron, and Foreman will all be back before the end of the season... probably well before it. House is going to screen a series of potential new doctors though,

I just watched the Bionic Woman pilot. (They have it for free On Demand right now.)

It's good, though I think they are trying to throw way too many sub-plots into the show already. There were about 8 different character that they cut to at different points who were not identified and all seemed to be evil and/or secret agents or something. They also all seemed to not be connected to each other, or anything else, in any way. Which they will probably do later.

The show came off a little bit cheesey, but what do you expect, it's the freakin' Bionic Woman!

I give the Pilot a B-, and will watch the next epidsode.

I feel like I should watch "Bionic Woman" only because it's a superhero show... But it's hard to get riled up over it. Confused

It was easier for me, because I remeber as a kid watching the original with my mom. It was one of her favorite shows. Though, the only things I remember about the original was the chick crushing a tennis ball in her hand, and the "ch ch ch ch ch" sound that played anytime she did anything "bionic". (Which she also always did in slow motion as well.)

For some reason, I was a little disapointed that there was no "ch ch ch ch ch" sound to be heard in the new show, not even once. I hope sometime down the line they get it in there as a joking nod to the original. Like had some machine in the background make the sound or something. Also, I am wondering how long it will be before Lee Majors or Lindsay Wagner to make a cameo. It would be cool if Lee Majors came in to play the new bionic girl's alcoholic father.

*UPDATE: You can also download the pilot for free at Amazon's Unbox. Here's the riducously long link:

Bionic woman does not conflict with anything I'm already hooked on so yay . . . I'll give it a shot.

The lead actress is incentive enough:

now with Hereos on Monday, House on Tuesday, Bionic Woman on Wednesdays and Supernatural on Thursdays my week is just about set with shows. I just need something for Fridays . . . any suggestions?

Yeah, go out and enjoy your life. Friday nights are dead zones for TV. And I don't mean "The Dead Zone", cause that's on Sundays, or would be if it were summer.

Sound advice. Fridays are "Dead Zone" for TV. I like going out on Fridays anyway and i think the networks have figured nobody is watching prime time on Fridays and put in crap nobody will watch. Like National Bingo Night with the guy from Extreme Home Makeover. Man, try watching that shit a whole hour without taking the M*A*S*H theme song into heart.

Anyway, that gives me an idea. how about I put something new on the table:

What would you NOT watch this season?

How about "Pushing Daisies". I'll admit the premise of the show is interesting. Guy can resurrect people then make them dead again just by touching them. Kind of a campy paranormal drama. There is not enough of a hook though. And it seems to . . . i don't know . . . something is off about that show . . .

Aliens in America - I really don't know what to think about this show. Just when i thought TV couldn't sink any lower.

The Jimmy Smits show that isn't called The Jimmy Smits Show - Cane, yay. CBS never could pitch a show to me. After so many Hallmark Movie Commercials, every preview just seems dull. Cane, i don't know. It might make it. Possible out of all the ones you listed it has the best shot.

"Buzzard Food" Nation - fixed

Cavemen - the commercials have used up their best material.

Anchorwoman - canceled after the first episode, got to love Fox

Back to You - Fraser and Debra on the same show . . . and it's on Fox . . . it will be dead in a month.

Private Practice - Did anyone even give a shit about MacHair's cheating ex. Besides . . . the title of the show sounds like a porno.

Ah fall premier . . . never sises to amaze me the kind of bull that churns out, challenging the views to find the diamond in the crap.

So I lied, I ended up watching this one. I still hate sit-coms and there's parts of the pilot I hated, but there were also a couple of moments where I said to myself: "This isn't the show I thought it was." Don't know if I'll watch another one, but I liked that it ended on a fairly sweet note rather than a gag. That says something I think.

I love Kelsey Grammer, so I gave Back To You a shot. It was, indeed pretty good. 'Til Death Do Us Part isn't bad either, which is almost entirely due to Brad Garrett.

I'm waiting for FOX to offer Ray Romano a new show, then they can promote a night of sitcoms starring all of the surviving cast members of Everybody Loves Raymond that people give a shit about.

I wonder if ELR will have a Seinfeld curse as well where all the original cast member's new shows flop?

I just watched two episodes of "Eli Stone". I can honestly say the show is better than I imagined, but no one on this board will ever watch it. Razz

Or maybe... Who likes legal shows? And superhero shows like "The Dead Zone" and "Journeyman"? And feel good inspiring shows?
