sony has some promotion going on for october about PSN exclusive games and bla bla bla... but the main thing is, they will start releasing PS2 games on the PSN for download. kind of how microsoft releases XBox games for download on the 360.

Figured they would start doing that. I'm really enjoying PS2 games again. Resident Evil 4 was a pain in the ass, but fun, Medal of Honor Frontline brings back so many memories and I have yet to touch Beyond Good and Evil. Add the fact that they have trophies and I am a trophy whore and they pretty much have me by the balls.

That is neat but I'll probably not buy any of them unless they release something I just can't live without, and if it is one of those games I likely already have it in the drawer under my TV. I'm kinda hesitant to give Sony any credit card information right now anyway.

Wait, don't you own a Gamecube or a Wii? Why in the shit ass would you be playing the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4?

They released the HD version of RE4 and RE:CV. And josh, I like the Playstation Controller 1000x more then Gamecube or Wii, and I've beaten it before but this time was for trophies.

i dont think these re-releases will have trophies. i think they are just straight up ports. i guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Of course I won't, but I can't play my discs in my PS3 either, which sucks. Really smart move by Sony to release backwards-compatibility, and then try to sell all those games again.

If they're smart about releasing them, then it's an okay idea in my book. Doing what Microsoft did, and charging $20 for mostly crappy Xbox games that looked awful on modern TV's was a stupid idea. If Sony can keep the games looking nice, and they keep it cheap enough, they can capitalize on newer players catching up with older stuff, and vets just spending a few bucks to have all of their games in one place.
