That's right, we're taking the Deadpool into the college realm. The idea is mostly the same, but there are a couple of differences in the rules, so look them over.
*Each week, you pick one team. You may only pick each team once, no matter where they rank at the time you pick them. The team must be:
**Any team ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll
**Any team facing a team ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll
*All picks must be made before the kickoff of the first game on Saturday. You may not pick a team that has already played in a game that week when you make your pick, and you may not pick a team that is not playing that week.
*If you fail to make your pick, you will be randomly assigned a team that no other participant has picked. Missing two weeks in a row will result in being dropped from the contest.
*If the team you picked wins, you remain in the contest. If they lose, you're out.
*The last remaining person wins. If, at the end of the season, multiple people remain, the prize will be doubled, then split.
*If during a week, all remaining participants are eliminated, the round is voided and nobody is eliminated. The chosen team still can't be used again.
*This contest will not be restarted unless it ends REALLY early.
The base prize is a $5 Gift Card to Amazon.com. Also, all winners are eligible for double prizes in the Playoff Pick-Em. Since this is the first year, I'm not offering a bonus for a perfect season - I have no idea how easy or hard it will be to do that.
To enter, simply post here with your Week 1 pick.

Dou you have to pick a team that is in the Top 25 AND playing someone in the Top 25? If not I think that's how this thing should be set up. The first 4 weeks are such a joke, and if you do your homework right you can find at least one ranked team playing a powderpuff team every week after that. Or maybe a stipulation that the team you are picking is playing someone with a winning record.

The way I have it set up is just either a top 25 team, or an opponent of a top 25 team. I'm all for discussing changing the format around, though.

As I was quoted above you could do something like that, or you could have "No picking ranked teams" Both would lead to less "Who's playing that scrub I-AA team this week."

Hm. I may throw in just for kicks, but it'll be pretty much guessing since I don't follow NCAA football.
Still, fun!

OOOOoooo, What if you picked 12 teams. Like 12 out of the 120 and those are the 12 we can use for the whole shebang. Of course you could pick more, but picking exactly the amount of teams needed would be interesting.

That would be an issue for the early part of the schedule, but later on, for the most part, teams play actual good teams. And you can't pick Boise State every week.
I don't want to make it too too complicated, honestly.

...unless one of those teams drops out of the top 25.
And honestly? If you're going to have that kind of attitude, and since you're the only person who has shown any interest in this at all, I should just file this under "bad idea" and cancel it.

If I'm confident in all my picks? I gave you different ways to make this more difficult/fun but nothing has changed rules wise, so I picked all my picks preseason and made myself a little challenge of my own. Like I said I'm not changing my picks and if my team that week isn't in the top 25 I lose.
Lastly I really don't care if a prize is offered or not this will be fun to me regardless of prize/participation.

Well I suggest you reconsider anyways. It's a 14 week season.

13 Weeks, Considering there are only 5 of the current top 25 playing those days. Week 14 is for teams with 2 bye weeks during the season, and that is only a handful of teams.

Satsui, just let him do it. He's basically saying he doesn't want to win.

I'm taking Mississippi St. over Memphis for my Week 1 pick.
For the record, if Douche keeps all of those picks set, and still manages to beat all of us, I'll double his prize myself.

Only 6 people. Eh. I've run worse contests.
Deadline to enter is Saturday, though games start tomorrow.
Also, changing my pick to Stanford.
