Sorry again for the SSF spam, but I wanted people to check out what their fellow forumers did.
I received eight submissions, and I narrowed it down to the Top 3. From there, all of the judges ranked the submissions from 1st to 3rd. 1st received 3 points, 2nd received 2, 3rd received 1.
1st Place - AtmanRyu (3 first place votes) 13 points
2nd Place - lordsathien (2 first place votes) 11 points
3rd Place - Rydog - 6 points
I'd like to thank everyone who submitted an entry. We saw some really good stuff.
I'd also like to thank the judges for taking the time to give their opinions. If they want to go on the record for who they voted for, go ahead in this thread.
1st Place - AtmanRyu
2nd Place - lordsathien
So this poem is for the creative contest,
To win SSFIV3D, I gotta be the best
To lyricize is my cause,
To highlight the forums is my call
And with its 3D lower jaws
At first I planned to create a whole Magic set,
But then, how many of you know,
The differences between Silk and Zephyr Net?
Adleast my creative idea can grow,
Besides, the game has too many viable cards,
I say it's time we greatly trim the format
I don't meant to ARGue,
But maddoxownsyou,
At some point I'll write perchance,
"Ima prolly make a sammich,
If Carson Daly is not a homo"
But I'd prefer to dodge Cyvelliance
I'm getting distracted and avoiding braggin,
That I ducked out of playing Castle of Dragon
Maybe we should hold one more quorum,
Once more on the viability of a food forum
Despite all the fervor and ire and rage,
I think we'd all like some (I'm a fucking jackass.)
Swinging wildly without any aim,
Much like this poem and the Edit the Image Game
Hugo's Wrestling Army could take all on
Including Korgoth and Brock Samson
Despite the evil of Regal
And the sting of B. B. King
I think you'll find this forum ramble eschews
Names like Vampyr, Murdar, Aqua, and Sonicrulz,
It's simply a testament to the Lexian forums,
To win a game to kill my doldrums
If somehow this poem doesn't own,
I guess I can learn to play Carcassonne
3rd Place - Rydog
This one may take a little explanation.
A couple of years ago, there was a discussion on the forums about making a Periodic Table using video game characters. Rydog attempted to do that. Not every element received a name, so who knows, maybe we can work on this a bit more. I thought it was a pretty cool idea.
Here's a link to a bigger version of it:
