Look, no one drinks PBR because they like the taste. They drink it because it's cheap and the end result is going to ultimately be the same as any other beer. So if you're going to drink it, you might as well drink it with pride. |
I'm not going to drink anything that tastes like watered down piss. If I'm going to invest money in something, I'm going to get something that tastes good |
If you want something that tastes good, you'd be drinking schapps or mixed drinks. You want something that tastes medicore instead of flatout awful but is socially acceptable for a man to drink.

Some rules I have learned over the years.
1. Margaritas are frigg'n awesome and men can drink them. Especially on the rocks without salt.
2. In sunny resorts frozen drinks seem less effeminate. I strongly suggest that you all take a trip to a Sandals resort. Banana Sip Sop, BBC, Chocolate Monkey, and Woo Woos are awesome.
3. People in Massachusetts have serious issues when it comes to rules about what men can and can't drink. Most other states seem to contain people that don't care as much about what others drink.
4. Drinking shitty beer doesn't make you cool. It makes you look like an underage college kid who asked an adult to buy them as much alcohol as they could get for $12.
5. Higher quality vodka tastes good if you are me.

I don't order fancy drinks, but I prefer a Rum and Coke, a shot of Jack, Vodka and Bourbon. Those all taste a hell of a lot better then PBR.

Banana Sip Sop doesn't sound all that manly to me, honestly...
Then again, I drink wine coolers mostly, I'm in no position to question your taste

I've had Grey Goose, which I think is supposed to be good, but I was fairly unimpressed. It definitely had a different taste to it, but it didn't go down any smoother. Also, it was flavored and I was disappointed at how subtle the flavor was. When something's supposed to be flavored, I want to taste the fucking flavor. That's one of the reasons I hate seltzer water. You can taste the lime in Pepsi Lime. You cannot taste the lime in so-called lime flavored seltzer water.

I don't enjoy flavored vodka. As for top shelf vodka, if you are a regular drinker of vodka, you would be able to distinguish between the brands and tastes. There is a huge difference between them.

The difference is in the smoothness, have a shot of Monarch Brand Charcoal Filtered Vodka then have a shot of Grey Goose, you'll see the difference pretty quick.
Me? I prefer one bourbon one scotch and one beer.

Goose is good, but there are some others that I enjoyed more.
I loved Russian Standard, but can't find it anywhere outside of the Russian village shops in Brookline, MA. I really want to try IMPERIA.

I can't stand the taste of alcohol, but mix it with virtually anything and I'll like it, while everybody else thinks it's fucking awful

"Walter"Melon would be pleased
In all honesty, watermelon vodka from Smirnoff was the first real shot I had. Before that I had Whiskey in a cup but it wasn't very much.

You've clearly never had good beer. There's shit beer, average beer, and GOOD beer. Good beer is delicious. This thread made me crave good beer, so my girlfriend and I went on a voyage to the high end liquor store before going to see Deftones last night and I grabbed Franziskaner dark.
First of all, drinking that reminded me why it's my favorite beer: it's fucking amazing. Second off, I actually went online (Germany doesn't require alcohol content printed on bottles) to find out what percent alcohol it was, because it's almost hard to believe that it has any, but it's as strong as any other average beer.

This was on the shelf next to the Franziskanner, and my girlfriend highly recommended it. Guess I'll have to try sometime.

Never heard of it, is it commonly sold in MA?

Order a black Russian. Same thing without the milk, meaning it's all alcohol (Granted part liquor and part liqueur, but still) which makes it a particularly good deal at bars. Also, it tastes awesome, like chocolate milk with a kick.

First place I had it was Fritz and Franz Beer Haus in Miami. It's not commonly sold anywhere; you need to find a liquor store with a huge selection of beers. In MA, the Kappy's on Route 1 had it, but the one closer to me that's smaller did not. You can always call them beforehand and ask if they have it, but totally worth tracking down.
