Aww, this is really sad. I know the season has probably wrapped but I wonder if they will do anything in her honor.

Thankfully, there will be an acknowledgement of Miss Sladen's passing during the premiere episode of the 6th season. Something a bit more nebulous is what to do with the season of The Sarah Jane Adventures which was currently being shot but placed on hiatus due to her illness.
Also, David Tennent briefly discussed her passing on BBC Breakfast
