the game is confirmed, the title of the game itself is not. not sure what to expect of this next game.

I don't understand why Sega would make another 360/PS3 game. Every Sonic game that's been available on 360/PS3 has been terrible. Even Sonic 4. Especially Sonic 4!

Sega has made two Sonic games in the last several years that actually worked: Sonic & The Secret Rings and Sonic Colors, both on Wii. Stick to one of those formulas, because they work.

Besides, Sonic is too kiddy for 360/PS3. FPS or GTFO.

I feel like every time I just get over and forget the new bastardizations of sonic they find a new way to get me. I wish it wasn't making them money.

Just give it a few more avatars of suck Brellow. Eventually, even the hardcore fan boys will be so completely disillusioned with the sonic series that will refuse to buy any more of these games.

Aside from Sonic Rush, I can't remember a good Sonic game in the past five years.

Well, Sonic 4 wasn't all that bad, I suppose.

4 part 1 was okay, but short.
Unleashed was really good, but the Werehog levels seemed to drag on for too long
Colors...I never played the Wii version, but the DS version is practically Rush 3. Which is good.
Rush Adventures was all right, but I absolutely hated the boat traveling bullshit.
Black Knight was pretty much Secret Rings with a Sword. I didn't like it that much.
Secret Rings was fantastic, but it had strange controls.
Sonic 2006 was awesome, except for Sonic's High Speed parts, the confusing story, and Elise.
Sonic Chronicles was a good RPG.

Sonic has had some awesome games in the last 5 years. And as for the inclusion of friends, I'm all for it. Both Sonic Adventure games were amazing and are two of my all time favorites and both prominently featured 5 characters that weren't Sonic with several different playstyles between the two games. I never got why people hate anybody that's not Eggman or Sonic. As for adding new people, I'm kinda iffy on that one.

The only friend I didn't like was that annoying Australian Raccoon from Rush Adventure.

It doesn't actually show us anything in terms of gameplay or plot. It could be good. I'd like to believe it'll be good. But we'll have to wait and see.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were good, Sonic Heroes was kind of ok after I warmed up to it, everything after has been garbage. The only thing that could get me interested in playing a new Sonic game is if they made another storybook game where Sonic gets pulled into Mein Kampf and has to battle Hitler and the nazis. That would be an awesome game.

I assure you I have not been lobotomized. I genuinely like most of these games. I never said they were the best games ever, just that they were good. What exactly do you not like about these titles other than what I have listed?

Just like with Final Fight Streetwise, I refuse to let popular opinion sway me from a good game. Whenever a new Sonic game comes out, people unanimously start bitching about it, whether it be about the friends showing up, or it not being in 2D, or the main gimmick. While some of it is justified, it seems they never bitch about the things that are actually wrong with the game, like Unleashed having glitchy controls at times.

Dude if they turned mario into a slow werewolf and you had to play as marios pet robot goomba and the pet robot goomba had to kill other robots with a laser gun and that was an equal part of the game compared to playing as mario people would flip their collective shit. It doesn't matter that sonic adventure 1 and 2 are decent games, they are decent games but they aren't decent SONIC games. I don't think the ones after that have even been very decent games separate of them sharing a sonic title.

They should just make colors 2 for the Wii, the first one was great, and the market for these games are on the Wii, not on the shooterboxes.

I was going to agree with you, until you said this. Sonic 2006 was NOT awesome and it deserves all the hate it gets. It was a glitchfest with a shitty plotholed storyline of beastiality, ruined Eggman's design, and showed off Sega's uncreativeness by introducing yet another hedgehog. I'm actually thankful that the game sucked as bad as it did.

Anyway, I'm curious to see how this plays. Sega did good with Colors, now they just need to build on that system.

I actually think I did my Dreamcast a favor by giving Sonic Adventure away. Seriously. As soon as the Sonic characters start talking, I'm out.
