Screenshot of my MacBook's desktop:
Here is a screenshot I just took now. Hardly anything going on (see dock) because I am about to go to sleep because 4AM.
The wallpaper was made by taking a screenshot of the MOTHER 2 (EarthBound) title screen, opening it in Photoshop, enlarging it 3x, changing the canvas size to match my screen resolution, and filling in blank areas as fit.
EDIT: Should note that I have wallpapers in a rotation. Currently, this is one of a few. Everything in the rotation is MOTHER-related at the moment.

Mine's a mess. That's why there is a folder called "Random crap, Clean this damn thing up" where I've dumped nearly every icon that wasn't a game. Also several Steam purchased games keep getting put on there with no icon other than the white sheet of paper and it is annoying.

You know you can select all your programs from the start menu, where everything is automatically organized? Then you can delete all these useless shortcuts and make your desktop look better.

I'm well aware of that. Been using computers pretty much my whole life, I just prefer having the desktop shortcuts because stuff is two clicks away instead of 4 or 5. Normally I'd have reformatted the computer more than once in the last two years though, which is why so much shit is installed at the moment. Just haven't had much time, and it isn't like HDD space is at a premium anymore since I'm only using 41% of my 2.75TB since I added a couple hard drives.

All MS Bob sarcasm aside, that is indeed a nice desktop Woodzy, and I wonder if you would be nice enough to post a link to it.
Also, mad respect for the use of winamp. I still use winamp myself, and sometimes I think I'm the last of a dying breed. It plays .flac files, and .shn files if you download an extension, and that lets me play all of my Grateful Dead live shows without having to convert them.
