Same shit would happen here. You know it would.
Actually here, both kids would probably be expelled for fighting, which is completely fucked up.

This.
No joke, my Cousin's Highschool instructs their kids, if "assaulted" to lay down, and curl into a ball until school administrators show up and break the fight up.
Anything form of retaliation leads to both being expelled or suspended.
Complete Fucking Horseshit.

I just read both kids got suspended, by the way. The bully got a month, the kid who bodyslammed him got 4 days.

He shouldn't have gotten anything. Especially since there is video proof that he did nothing wrong but defend himself. He took the first punch. Then was only blocking the punches. It wasn't until the little shit wouldn't stop, did he take any offensive action.

Oh wow, that was some good form too. So, wrestling fans, what was that one, a power bomb or what? |
The closest move to a wrestling move he did, would be a Dominator. Finisher used by Farooq aka Ron Simmons:
The last move in this vid:

A key in the decision to suspend him was because of how he retaliated. He could have seriously injured that kid by dropping him on his head. The little guy is obviously a complete douchebag, but I don't think being paralyzed for life (possible from a drop like that) is a punishment that fits the crime.

i can try to do it different, wich is the solution to the whole violence problem if enough people do so. So don't tell me theres no escape. There may be no escape at the moment but in future terms there is one. At least i believe in that. |
Genetic or chemical therapy to suppress the human being's atavistic regression to violence in a lot of cases? Humanity without violence would be radically different, and probably equally as frightening. It'd just be more mental cruelty and coercion in it's place.

Australians have funny accents? Well, there goes any chance of me posting to the 'show us your +v' thread.
Also, I wish I could view that video that people are having a good laugh at, but I can't since I am not at home.

YES! Finally saw it because of the Zangief vid. The little shit got exactly what he deserved. And yes, I think being paralyzed for life is a fitting punishment, because nobody should be an asshole. I was bullied up until Highschool when I learned everybody loves the Funny Fat Guy. If I had had the power to retaliate like this, I totally would have. My parent's always taught me It's okay to retaliate, because as long as I didn't start the fight, I wouldn't be in trouble when I got home, plus I'd get Ice Cream.

She wants him to apologize, and she also says her kid deserved what he got. I don't have a problem with her trying reconcile it.

I don't understand all this crying about violence. In the few experiences when someone was trying to fuck with me in school, a couple of punches solved the problem real quick. I can recall three instances and each time, the kid was some punk that the teaching staff couldn't stand either so they'd get suspended for a few days while I'd have to spend the day in ISS. After that, everyone else wants to praise you like a hero.

Maybe if he blasted the bully from 10 feet away with a fire projectile, there would be a case to be made for that
As of now, he could just as easily have seen that on a MMA match or something.

In the proper context, violence is glorious. Violence will make you feel more alive than any drug on the planet. Violence is part of life, part of the human experience, and to deny it when it is warranted is to kill a part of your soul. I'm not just regurgitating Fight Club, I have meditated on this subject and come to this conclusion.
War is not the proper context, by the way.
