Sooner than later this site will die. Most of us that are truly nostalgic about the 80's and 90's are growing older. It's called Peak Nostalgia, and it is very real my friend. The truth is there are not enough 18--23 year old males right now to replace the 24-35 males that enjoy Comics, Transformers and McDonalds Happy Meal toys. I give myself till 35 to not be playing video games, watching cartoons or engaging in internet feuds. Pretty soon, everything ends, just ask Michael Ruppert.
THIS WAS A FUCKING JOKE SydLexia CAN NEVER DIE!!! Unless, Syd dies, or this guy is right:

Sit around and be nostalgic about the times before everything collapsed. That, and kill for food and water.

I'm going Fallout 3 style and collecting unique weaponry.
If the Fatman doesn't exist in real life, I'm going to be extremely disappointed.

It just needs a lot of rest and some chicken soup.

If the site dies, I'll just start sidewaydriver.com and we'll all migrate to that.

Mass suicide pact? We can all sit in a giant circle playing Virtual Boy games until our life force hemorrhages from our eyes.

Just wait until you have kids, if you don't. Then take five or ten years off that figure.
I often think back on my childhood and the good times I had, and I try to relive them in a more mature manner(i.e., playing old video games, not endlessly searching yahoo for "warez and gamez" and ways to rip off coke machines.) But the truth is, I fail miserably. Not for lack of will or effort, but because there's just never enough damn time in the day.
I tell you, being an adult sucks hard sometimes. Although there's no way in hell I could give up the freedom of maturity to become a kid again, no matter how much time I would get to play games.

Adults can play video games. Hell, my grandfather was playing video games before I was even born.
Yeah, I'm 31 and having a video games renaissance at the moment. It is true though that if you have a kid, from age 0 to about 3 or 4, there's no time left in the day to play games or do other time killing activities.

Hey, kids gotta sleep sometimes. You can still play video games. You just gotta substitute video games for TV. So instead of watch Graham Norton, Law & Order: Guys In Wigs, or whatever the only movie currently airing is, play video games instead.

Oh, I'm not saying they can't. Just that it's not anywhere near as easy as when you're a kid and you basically have all the free time in the world, besides the time you're stuck in school.
I'm working my way through Pokemon Blue again right now, the last time I played it I was in the sixth grade. I had no concept of grinding then, now I leveled all my pokemon way up there early and I'm stomping ass. The wisdom of time.

Oddly enough, I have a much harder time playing Pokemon now than I did when I was young. What the fuck happened to me?

Weird, I'm playing Pokemon Red right now too.
But yeah, I grinded like crazy at the beginning and now am fucking up everyone. Most battles are one hitter quitters.

^ the most annoying part to me was getting Magikarp up to to 20s to evolve into Gyarados, since I got it at level 5 and it had no offensive attacks at all. Totally worth it, though.

I remember being MUCH better at NES games when I was younger. Young me could probably compete with NotSure, but young me would get owned in PS3 by...old...er me.

The forums are in fact, not dying. Despite no new content since October, the site's traffic has not slipped at all. So if anything, the forum traffic has probably increased a little, since there's no new content on the main page to driving other traffic.

I hope you aren't using this logic to talk yourself out of writing more.
