Is that the Stars video? I can't access YouTube right now, but they're a fantastic band. Chances are you've heard Stars (I believe FLaming Lips did a cover) but didn't know who they were. Good stuff all around. I got into them along with Tripping Daisy around the same time.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

This band has been a favorite of mine since I first heard "Stars" on a old BMG Music Sampler disc I got way back when as a teen.

What a weird coincidence...

I got into Hum properly a month or two ago.

Inuit Promise is a masterpiece.

That riff at 20secs in kicks ass.

Also if you guys haven't already seen it here's a link to a fan site it has some downloads.

Don't worry about the legality of it, the site owner has permission of the band for the downloads (since they gave him them).

Download Downward is Heavenward demo, it kicks ass.

I discovered them in the summer, posting a thread on another forum asking for depressing/sad alternative music. Most of the replies I got were about music like Ben Harper (great musician) but I noticed Hum on the list. When I listened to "Stars" I recognized the song, I think an old friend used to listen to them or something like that.

Great video by the way, I would enjoy seeing them live but unfortunately various sources state they are no longer making albums. It's a shame because they're such a great band and good music is hard to come by these days.

Oh i didn't record that video, it's just a live recording of the song, it sounds even more badass live.

They don't make albums anymore but they do tour around the US every so often. They played some gigs last year as well but they said they wouldn't reunite and only do shows now for fun.
