While we're on the subject, here are my two favorite depictions of the greatest Old One of them all:

Someone just upped the creepiness, assuming the image stuck in the screenshot isn't enough of a deterrent.

Thanks Sathien, it's not like I needed the sleep, but I did need a new night terror to deal with.
And just to add to the general Cthulhuness of this thread:

I don't understand this shit revolving around the 'cthulhu'. What exactly is this all about? Or if it's a book, just tell me the name so I can read it. I'm definitely interested.
And that video creeped me out in a funny way.

Cthulhu is the most popular of a race beings called "the Great Old Ones" from the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The most popular of these works is called, not surprisingly, Call of Cthulhu. It's an interesting work, but honestly, I've always been under the impression that most of the fame for these works may actually come from the tabletop Role Playing game of the same name.

Oh no, Lovecraft was famous long before the RPG. I highly recommend any and all of his works, Drew...although "Call" is indeed a classic.

He was relatively unknown until well after his death in 1937.

Protip: Saying "Hastur" repeatedly is known to speed up load times.
You can also get a good experience to something akin to the Lovecraft Mythos by playing Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for the GameCube.

The Sing Along just sounds awesome! although the lyrics are reminding me a little bit of my mother ... And this fishmen song, isn't that more or less racism?

Only if you're racist against the minions of Dagon.

Minions of Dagon steal our Jobs and our Women. They're also taking advantage of our social systems, and selling drugs to school children!

I just got into Lovecraft not long ago. I wish I had heard of him when I was younger because the stories are creepy as hell and so damn good. I actually have most of my University's Lovecraft books sitting next to me right now. I know there were several video games based on it but I never tried them. I might have to do that sometime. Also, that second video is weirding me out.
