This is the new single off their oft-delayed follow-up to The Black Parade. The album is supposedly due in November. I really like it. The album was originally claimed by the band to be a return to their more screamy pre-Parade music, but it's not really. It's more of a mix of the Parade bombast and their earlier more punkish sound. I really like it.
No offense syd, I personally hate it, but I'm a pompous metal elitist guy.

Big MCR fan here. I have yet to hear a song from them I don't like, so looking forward to this one for sure.

I used to give MCR shit, but I'm not a fan of screamy shit like that earlier rubbish they did. Not long ago someone let me hear "Black Parade" album and I actually dug it. This single isn't too bad, either.

Honestly, did you even listen to the track or did you just see the words My Chemical Romance and automatically decide you hate it? There's nothing "angsty" about that track. If that's "angsty" then Iggy Pop is angsty.
Argh. Can't listen to it, 40 seconds in and I already don't like it. Sorry Syd, but I'm not much for people screaming a single word a zillion times.

People love to declare MCR as emo and angsty, but that couldn't be farther than the truth. Listen to the music first before shitting on it just because your jack-off friends made some declaration about the band 2 years ago.
If you "get rap" and don't understand how this music is better, then your taste is way off.

I get how some stupid people could like it, they are idiots, but MCR sucks. I listened to the whole track, and I hate it, I am a metal elitist I guess, I'm a giant audiophile, and love my music, I just hate this, and A7X, and all mallcore stuff.

I listened to it, didn't say the track was angsty, just the whole band. I hate it, they don't sound good in my opinion, just an opinion. I listen to stuff like M8L8TH, anal cunt, sabaton, Iron maiden, Kalmah, dropkick murphys, Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Mayhem, Death, Cannibal Corpse, Megadeth, Mecryful fate, Led zep, Pink floyd, Burzum, Cheap Trick, ETC..... Just my tastes are way different I guess.

It doesn't do anything for me and it sounds like the happy little elves.
I like that song... what you call it.... the one where the video is set at a funeral.

You must mean "Helena."
This is a pretty cool song feat. MCR's lead singer

A metal elitist that listens to Anal Cunt? Come on.

I like this song, I won't hate a band just for striking a chord with mainstream emo kids. I did however enjoy them more when they went by the name Smashing Pumpkins.

While the direction of the music may appear to have changed, this band is still doing exactly the same thing. Reciting predictable clones of whatever the most marketable styles going happen to be.
I dislike the band and cannot enjoy their music chiefly for this reason, however that is not to say that the music itself is not terrible, becuase it is. I do hope you people realise that you are looking at and hearing only a very small percent of what the bands 'members' have created themselves. The final marketed product is so cosmetically altered that a film clip of an engineer behind the mixing desk with a suit standing over his shoulder would be far closer to the truth than any footage of the faces they use to sell it.

Fun fact, two of my most favorite bands are Smashing Pumpkins first, then MCR. Weird.
Also, MCR will be playing the live pre-game show for the London NFL game on Halloween, so I urge all of you haters (Rake) to catch it and see that they aren't just a crappy studio band. They do sound great live too.

Panda, if you genuinely believe that a group of MCR's variety wont be relying on a veritable laboratory of tapes and digital queue's running backstage during a live, televised performance, you have bitten down on that fake squidgy corporate worm on the hook that drags the more easily pleased among you along for all you're worth.
I would expect -any- band to sound excellent live, when they've got more digital backup going on than Deep-Thought.
I'm not trying to say dont like them, or that you dont have valid right to enjoy the music.. its just kind of like McDonalds. -Like it for the trendy, plastic, disposable, market driven shit that it is.

I like it because it's enjoyable music. I don't give a fuck if it's produced, or backed up or part of some illicit corporate conspiracy.
Does it sound good? Yes. Does it get me excited when I listen to it? Yes.
Then that's all that matters. Music snobbery is the most useless thing human beings have ever come up with in my opinion. People take something that's fun and enjoyable to certain people, then give you bullshit reasons all day as to why they dislike it, such as "Reciting predictable clones of whatever the most marketable styles going happen to be." What the fuck does that even mean? You don't even know. It's OK just to say, "Sorry, I'm just not into it" just like I do when I tell people that I just don't get AC/DC. It's not for any bullshit, made-up corporate reason; their stylings and riffs just don't get my soul excited on a visceral level.
It's not cool to be difficult to please or "discerning"; you're just being douchebags at the end of the day. I'm not necessarily going after you personally Rake, but the whole notion of music snobbery gets me going and your posts definitely qualify as such.
