Don't know if they happens to anyone else, but I have a fair number of songs that when I hear them, they just sound so good/epic/awesome/amazing that they give me goosebumps.
Anyone ever get that feeling? That so-good tingle down your spine when that one part of that one song comes on? Makes my skin crawl it's so good...
Here's one of mine...

Speaking of Maiden, anyone else nervous that their current album is called The Final Frontier? They've been at this forever... what if it really is final?

Then wouldn't it be appropos to go out with a really bitchrod final album? Think about it, the fucking Stones haven't put out anything good for about twenty five to thirty years. They might still be great live, but that's because they've played it all so much that it's reflexive, like a corpse twitching. Let the boys go out on a high note if that's what they want to do.

1. Maiden + Star Trek reference = awesome
2. If it really was final, I would cry. They came through SD while I was at LDAC ( ) and I have yet to see them live. I hope to god I get the chance before they call it quits.

I liked Bridges To Babylon a lot. And the great thing about the Stones is that they don't answer to anyone. They're not afraid to try new things and experiment with different producers and flirt with other influences, because they can. They don't care if anyone buys their newest album or likes it, because they're still making a boatload of cash off tours and royalties. So they can make whatever music they feel like. And really, isn't that what being a musician is all about?
