But he has fun with it, and mocks the games in a humorous manner this video lacked his intro, not sure why... but here's his hilarious video review of The first ninja turtles game for the NES.

Some of his profanity was kind of funny, but that guy's a fucking crybaby. I beat that game when I was like seven or eight and it wasn't even that fucking hard. Admittedly, the stage with the Turtle Van was a little irritating, but you just had to be patient. Wah wah.

I've never heard of half the shit you all talk about on here, like I have no idea who the fuck seanbaby is or anything like that. That guy (AVGN) really seemed to suck at Turtles, though. He couldn't even pull off the ladder jump/attack combo necessary to kill with Raph or Mikey. Being on this board helps me find out about stuff like this, though, so it works out for me.

James Rolfe is a pretty funny guy, if you've ever seen any of his non-AVGN stuff. His AVGN stuff is fairly funny too, except for two things:

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaank you! Yes! The original idea of the shorts, actually, wasn't to rip on "shitty games that suck ass", but nitpick about the annoying stuff in moderately good games. Then he did Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde. Even though his gimmick changed, he's still playing a character.
Personally, I think he's funny for the most part, his shorts are pretty hit-or-miss. Either they're really good, or just meh.

That's for sure. But regardless he is funny, and I need to find a review with his intro in it, which i'll do now. Some of his points are legit some are silly. Ninja turtles was a challenging game, for kids, and had pretty weird monster.

Snow, everyone knows who the AVGN is by now. You haven't found some hidden gem that we need to check out.
I've been a fan of the AVGN and James Rolfe for years now and always look forward to his new videos which are always entertaining and made well.

Yanno, I wanted to stay away from this thread, but apparently someone is indeed completely clueless about AVGN or James Rolfe altogether.
So out of pity's sake, here's a link so you can catch up:
He's okay... he's too informative for my taste lol. I'd rather someone just briefly say what they liked and disliked. If i'm gunna buy the game, then that kind of reviewer that you posted Snesguy is the kind i want. tell me the highlights, shows me game play... good stuff. Overall a good review, but ANN (that's what i know him by).. .more about humor, probably shouldn't even call his work a review.
I more brought this up, spark discussion, we have a lot of new faces around the board, this may be some new fun material for them. Feel free to recommend other reviewers as Snesguy has done : D.

I remember stumbling upon James Rolfe's first two videos back in 06 when I was working the desk at my dorm.
He certainly has had his ups and downs through the years he's been going, but I think overall, he's a hell of an internet sensation. I think his only bad ones were Dracula and Frankenstein. Sometimes he does too many in a row and sometimes he doesn't do enough (like he is doing now).
James' non AVGN stuff is cool, like Bullshit? and Board James. I like some of his film commentary, but I can do without the boring monster movie stuff he goes on about.
If you like him you should check out That Guy With The Glasses.
