Anyone here familiar with this site?

Its kind of like a facebook, but expressly for music. You can download a plugin to track what you listen to, and it will compile a library for you out of the stuff it sees you play. Out of this library it'll make charts of your top tracks/artists/albums per week/month/year or whatever you like. It also recommends similar artists (with streaming samples and wiki linked bios/info) that you dont have in your library based on what you like.

I'm a total fucking geek for music so this kind of shit all but makes my dick hard, but even for the causal listener its still a very cool thing if you ask me.. which by reading this you have unwittingly elected to do.

My page is here for anyone interested in having a look how it works.

Everybody on here who has a last.fm, add me right now.
Also, Rake, looks we like quite a few of the same artists.

I really only use Last.FM for the "Scrobbing."

I had one of these a while ago. I haven't been on a computer in ages, so it's not up to date with the scrobnling.

All I can say is that it's full of "WTF?"

there was a while where the theme song of hack of all trades was my number one song.

I started one a few minutes ago on a whim. Real basic, so far. Mostly punk and folk at this point, but I'll start building it up.

Zune player doesn't scrobble, however, so my shit is completely out of date.

There's no app to make my iPod touch scrobble without having to sync it. Unfortunately I only listen to music on my iPod currently, and can't sync it to my computer for quite a while.

Are you guys seriously using the word "scrobble"? That doesn't make you feel the least bit retarded?

I think my Last.fm is going to be all Jewel, all the time. And maybe a dash of Smashing Pumpkins.

Uh.. the word which means to sync your ipod to last.fm and to show what you have been listening to on it is scrobble.

There's nothing more one can do about that considering that is in fact the correct term.

It may be the correct term, but it still makes you sound like the Hamburglar when you say it.

Scrobble....

God, as if I didn't hate this whole iphone culture enough, they taunt me with retarded made-up words!
