Since trying to make this thread into something other than a "look at me! my tastes rule! look at you! your taste sucks!" thread hasn't worked, we should just try to kill it.

Balls.

It's right between the food forum and the coprophagia forum, right before the tech food forum and to the left of the tech support forum. Rolling Eyes

The Food Forum is actually a sub-forum of the Secret Illegal Drug Smuggling Operation. You surely got the invite, right?

No actually, I did not. I was considering asking for permission to join it. Who do I ask?

eclectic (adj.)- word used by people with poor organizational skills to denote some overarching justification for a scattershot approach to something; said justification usually helps them to feel better about potentially poor choices.

Example- "Yeah, I've got an eclectic personal style. That's why I'm wearing lime green hotpants, a leather jacket with an Oingo Boingo t-shirt underneath and cowboy boots."

Seriously, if you like a bunch of stuff, just let that rug lie, pal. Syncretizing your own personal assemblage of music or what have you isn't something you have to justify with a label, even if the label merely reiterates that you've varied tastes. And even for most people who've got "eclectic" tastes, it's generally a given that their choices are dispersed among a core group of several definable genres with other choices laying somewhere outside of those. It's like saying the US has an "eclectic" population; you're still going to have a solid mass that identify with Caucasian, African-American, Asian and Hispanic and those that then fall outside of it.

It's eclectic. Boogie woogie woogie.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.
