Next time, ask yourself, "Is this necessary?" If the answer is no, you'd better have a really good reason otherwise to post it. And if you have to wonder that, it's likely not a good reason.

It is perfectly reasonable to dislike the link and post your opinion about it. However, he didn't break any rules by creating this thread. Just because it may not be the type of post that interests you doesn't mean that he should need to feel defensive.

Necessity on a gaming/retro/pop culture website is clearly going to be defined in a unique way for each individual member.

All I'm asking is just be cool and ease up a bit.

It's called "General Discussion" for a reason, that reason being that we didn't want to have "Random". I guess one could argue that it goes in internets, but there's no reason why it can't be here.

I think people are assuming Hacker created the program and are giving him shit about it. He didn't. It's a website that he found and it took him a few moments to plug in the Syd Lexia info. It's not like he wasted months on this project or something.
